You can be anything
All of them are fairly close friends.
Making it happen is feasible and less crazy than when making it happen with other teams due to the win first nature of MIA and their Big 3. Melo has also stated that he wants to win and I have to imagine his faith in Dolan has to be running low.
If the big 3 opt out and take about $12-$15m each between the 4 they are basically where the Heat are now with the big 3 and their salaries.
The questions for me come on the court. The way I imagine this happening is Melo at the SF and LBJ as a true PG on both ends of the court.
The other way would of course would be Bosh at C and LBJ/Melo at SF/PF and the back court doesn't change. I would much rather they use that money to find a legitimate Center but this is fun to think about too.
I do not think floor spacing would be an issue, all 4 are extremely versatile on the offensive end and Melo would bring some rebounding. Issues would be Melo's D and learning to play with a PG. Melo would have a ton of open iso starts with LBJ running the point and every one is drawing a double team. If they worked together they are unstoppable offensively and I have to think with the constant pressure and team accountability Melo would play D. I have seen Melo play D in the playoffs, and once on Dirk. He is not horrible.
What do you guys think?
