McVay, LaFleur and K. Shanahan all have ties back to WFT and probably were molded there for the "young offensive minds".
I think they are good offensive minded coaches; however, 0-2 in Super Bowls and LaFleur 0-2 in NFCC game

Matt LaFleur beat my ass in 7 on 7 when I was a Sophomore in HS. And I’m sure did in pick up basketball at the Rec, my freshman year of college.


But I’d prolly still put him in the Brian Kelly coaching tree if I had to. And I don’t like Brian Kelly all that much tbh.

Sean McVay is 42-0 when leading at halftime. He’s tied with Bill Belichick for the most consecutive wins ever when leading at half.

McVay will also get his 50th regular season win in his 4 and half seasons coaching.

Not bad for a coach that never had head coaching experience at any level.

SB rings also don't exclusively determine if a tree is good or not. Nobody had a problem acknowledging Andy Reid's tree has produced tangible results.

Though it doesn't hurt Harbaugh, Rivera, Pederson, and Reid himself amongst others have been to the playoffs and SB's. McDermott has a chance to join that group in the next few years potentially.
