My vote would be no. .I like the ratios

Just shooting out something different... I think it would be fun to take out the ratios... But of course whatever the league decides to do i am in...

I just think 6X6 could be more fun than 5X5, but i dont love the options to the 6X6...

I hate OPS for a category-

I also think that with the pitching my solution would be very interesting, because 3 categories give a major advantage to the team with more innings, and 3 categories gives the advantage to the team with less innings... What that does is makes it less likely for an owner to give up on closers...

Oh there's merits to it, no doubts. .is just not my thing. And totally agree that OPS is not a great option, in any style of league.
As for the giving up on closers thing, I wish there was a simple answer, but I still side with saves+holds as the easiest solution.

That is precisely my issue. It is more about how many innings your staff throws and less about how good they are.

IF my idea gets no traction thats ok... The problem with trying new things is that when they fail they fail terribly, but if they succeed then it can make this league unique and more enjoyable...

But to your point the problem with normal 5X5 is that many owners give up on categories, usually SBs and Saves...
My 6X6 idea prevents giving up categories...

And with the pitching you said there is a minimum innings rule of 32+, therefore no matter what the innings will still be there, but you will be less willing to give up on closers...

I have always wanted to be a commish, so i have lots of ideas for leagues... unfortunately non are tested...

I think OPS is the best of both worlds, as it benefits OBP and extra base hits which I think are key in ranking hitters.

Innings for pitchers is terrible, IMO. I shouldn't lose a category because I had less innings thrown than my opponent.

This would be advisable. It would be easy to get buried by this group. There are no mullets, no easy targets.

Fuzzy, I there is an vote upcoming on scoring changes. I will try to get something posted this weekend.

The big ones were:

BA vs. OPS or OBP
Wins vs. QS
Saves vs. Saves + Holds vs. Net Saves (saves - blown saves)

We could also go 6x6 adding a holds category and OPS instead of replacing the others.

I will clean this up and simplify before we vote, but feel free to discuss now. Am I missing anything here?

I would like the categories to remain as standard as possible. I like BA. Either wins or QS are good. I prefer Wins over holds. This is a quality group. I don't think we need to get exotic to see the cream rise to the top.

I am in no matter what the league decides... but in a free league like this when is a better time to experiment with a little bit of funk in the league...

One thing I have found is that there is no correlation between $ and good competition.

I win my $ league almost every year. It is nice to get the check at the end, but the competition here is better.
