Anyway after that I will say I would like more info on how things work before I commit to it. I have always done espn, yahoo leagues so I am sure this is probably alot different.

Standard 5x5 h2h with weekly lineup changes, nothing fancy. We've got 12 teams for A league and looking to get the same for B league. Tlance has a post back a page or two that outlines how teams will move up or down from the A to B league at the end of the season.

It's on Fantrax which takes some getting used to, and I suggest doing a few of their mock drafts first, it's different than Yahoo (not sure about ESPN), but scoring wise it's the same.

Not yet. . But I share your anticipatory inquiry. That really should be the next item in the agenda so people don't make plans whatever evening that might be.

Agreed. Currently my draft calendar is pretty open (thanks to a few slow drafts this year), but it's going to fill pretty quickly come late February.

No, that is not an official time, but based on the early feedback we got, it seemed like a time that could work.

Does anybody have issues with it?

By the way, there is no reason that the two drafts have to happen at the same time.

I would like to get the draft times finalized by next weekend.

The 9th would be great for me. I just hope it is not anytime on the 16th or after, as I would hate to try to run my draft from my laptop, while otherwise sitting and watching a spring training game.

But, if I have to, I would figure a way, as I am that sick and into this.

was there any thought as to changing/adding categories?

I'm doing a slow draft on Fantrax right now, first time I was ever on it...didn't even do a mock first. I find it breezingly easy, not to mention the easy ranking system they have if you're into using your own rankings, which I assume we all are.

I'm good with the 9th as well. I've got one on the 15th and 16th so if we did move it up my only issue would be the time.

Fuzzy, I there is an vote upcoming on scoring changes. I will try to get something posted this weekend.

The big ones were:

BA vs. OPS or OBP
Wins vs. QS
Saves vs. Saves + Holds vs. Net Saves (saves - blown saves)

We could also go 6x6 adding a holds category and OPS instead of replacing the others.

I will clean this up and simplify before we vote, but feel free to discuss now. Am I missing anything here?

You are the man Big D!

No worries though. You and Treff both have conflicts on those days so it is pretty safe to say that we will not have the draft during that time. 9th is looking good!

In a 5X5
I would definitely rather do BA than OBP and certainly OPS... OPS is terrible in 5X5 because we already have 2 categories that are focused on power why make it 3...

If we do 6X6 i would rather do BA and BB than BA and OBP or OPS,

As for pitching i am ok with any decisions, but offense i definitely do have a preference...

As for closers i think it might be fun using holds as a category combined with saves...

OBP I have always felt that a normal Roto does not give any credit to someone who can work the count.
Wins or QS Both are tough stats to gauge and right now I would lean towards QS slightly.
Saves. no real reason just the way I would vote
