Speaking of getting hit, and laughing because you just can't help it.

Bet you thought those $ 250.00 per tickets would keep you safer than this, huh?

Okay, I'm reading through the lineups for tonight, and come to Houston. Now, maybe I've been under a rock all season and he's been there multiple times, maybe this is the first, but Carlos Pena is leading off. I had to laugh, then share it. Just seems really strange.

Not anymore. The 'Stros just D.F.A'ed him this morning. Some teams can live with a .209 avg, especially when hitting 30 bombs. As Pena was on pace for 17,........, goodbye Carlos.

You were saying?

Best thing about it was her comment: "I'm not laughing because Reyes got hurt!" No, she was laughing because he took one in the balls.

We'll have a new leader at day's end.
Congrats Tlance!!

Thanks. The way TKO's team is looking, I am not sure how long I will be there. I am hoping for 5-4 this week.

Week 16 Preview:

There are many good looking match-ups this week. We will dig right in with the game of the week:

Featured Match-Up

First Place Grand Salami vs. the Red Hot TKOut- TKO 5, Salami 4

Grand Salami fell into first place by virtue of TKO's KO of the Sarnia Tigers. TKO's offense is downright scary. They will be favored to win most (if not all) offensive categories from here on out.

When they last met, both teams looked very different and the Salamis won 9-1.

Pitching- The Salamis have the better staff, but since TKO has 2 more starts and their closers are equal to or better than the Salamis, there are 3 cats up for grabs here. Saves, Ks and wins will determine whether this match-up is close or if it becomes another TKO blow out.

Hitting- TKO has no weaknesses on the hitting side. SBs and HRs could be close, but the Salamis will need a great week to make that happen. The only category that is really up for grabs here is runs scored. That one could go either way.

Dub vs. WHIP my FIP- WHIP 7, Dub 3

When they last met, WHIP whipped Dub 7 to 3.

Pitching- WHIP will hope that 2 starts from Yu helps to right the ship on the pitching side. Dub has the edge in saves by virtue of superior closers, but WHIP has the advantage in the other 4 cats. They should all be close however, so truly anything can happen here. For 2 teams battling for playoff spots, they will each be looking for some quality starts.

Hitting- Dub should win the steals category and BA is too close to call. The rest of the cats favor WHIP. It would be a major upset if Dub took the power cats.

Wolfpack vs. Soggy Bottom Boyz- Wolf 5, Boyz 5

When they last met, the Soggy ones took it to the pack, 7-1.

Pitching- The pack will ride 3 extra starts to advantages in the K and Win cats. The Boyz should take saves, ERA and WHIP, although nothing is guaranteed. The Boyz roll with Wilhelmsen as the lone closer, and there are no guarantees that he gets a handshake over the next 7 days.

Hitting- The Pack has advantages in HR, RBI and Runs, while the Boyz should get steals. BA could go either way on paper, but I would bet heavily in favor of the Boyz here because the Rev's record in swing categories this year has been impressively abysmal.

Yellow Fuzzy vs. Sarnia Tigers- Sarnia 7, Fuzzy 3

When they last met, the Tigers won 7 to 3. The Tigers look to rebound from a 10-0 skunking to reclaim first place. The odds-makers say they will be successful in their bid.

Pitching- Saves could go either way, but the Tigers have the edge everywhere else.

Hitting- Fuzzy should get RBI and BA, Sarnia should get Runs and HRs, and steals are up in the air. Every category should be tightly contested, however, so either side could run away with the hitting points with a couple hot bats. Fuzzy needs those points desperately.

Big League Chew vs. D Dude's Dodgers- Dude 5, Chew 4

When they last met, the Dude won 5-4.

Pitching- Chew has the edge in ERA and WHIP, while Dude should get saves. Ks and wins could go either way.

Hitting- Dude has the edge in RBI and SBs, while the other 3 cats are too close to call. This match-up has 5 swing cats and should be very close on Sunday.

Sportsboys vs. Fudpuckers- Boys 6, Fud 4

When they last played, this game ended in a 5-5 tie.

Fud needs a win and he faces a struggling Sportsboys squad. Unfortunately for him, the match-ups may favor the Boys this week.

Pitching- The Boys will ride their 4 extra starts to advantages in wins and Ks. ERA and WHIP could go either way, but the Boys are likely to take ERA. Fud will get the save category.

Hitting- The bats look pretty even here. The boys should win the power cats and Fud should get the speed cats. BA looks like it could go either way.

Good luck to all, and enjoy the final few weeks. We are quickly approaching the home stretch.

Week 16 Preview:

I planned on doing a recap for week 15 this morning, unfortunately there are people in this world believe that real life comes before fantasy baseball.
They've got some balls...............oh well, next week.

I don't mind if league votes down the trade between Tlance and I, that was made yesterday.
Feel pretty shitty about flipping Braun so quick and then he's done before trade even goes through voting period.
Whatever league does is cool with me. Seriously.

I do. Bummer of a last name for a kid to have.

At least it is a last name though, meaning nothing was done on purpose. It is when the first name is odd or weird that makes me quesiton peoples thought processes.
