Would that be Henry Urrutia?

Tried to find him last week, have him in my money league... he'll probably be platooned with Valencia...which I don't agree with, but ya gotta take a chance on any Cubans!

Garza to the Rangers is extremely close. With Dempster getting dealt there last year, is it safe to assume Samardzija will be pitching in Texas by August 2014? And the Cubs getting Olt as the main piece? Isn't he just another Ian Stewart? Smells like the Garza market wasn't willing to pay very much, IMO.

Our Yahoo site can be very frustrating. I tried to pick up a player this morning and according to Yahoo, he doesn't exist...grrrrrr!

Maybe if you looked for guys that have played an MLB game before..........?

Respectfully BigDude, then I'd have missed out on Jose Fernandez, Puig, Shelby Miller....
Lots of misses too, but we're in an amazing era for baseball. How many under 25 in the allstar game even?? But, even more so, this really is an elite group we're competing against. Have to look for whatever edge you can :)

Saying that, I wouldn't stress about Urritia...but maybe lightning in a bottle type :)

well, he's actually on the (dare I say) CBS site... I think anybody playing in the minors should be in the database, but especially AAA players.

Yahoo player database is ridiculous!
I understand the waiver strategy, but it's stupid shallow.

Oh I know and understand. I am just not as high on prospects as I am on proven quantities is all. And, as such, I stand by my original statement, regardless of how obvious it otherwise is.

I'm worried that Freddie Freeman can't even DH tonight. I have to lock in an 8-day lineup before the games tonight, and my only alternative would be Colabello (who I just added, dropped Hicks).

I still want the Cuban as a stash on my roster. I will play the proven and wait for the potential (on my bench).

It actually gotten better the past 3 years. In 1010 guys like Taveras, Yelick and Sano wouldn't even be in there. It's not perfect but it's gotten better, which means they are overdue to screw something up royally (oh wait, they did - they screwed up their home page, the news section, put that stupid floating toolbar at the top of the page that nobody uses and takes up way to much space).

Why can't people just leave shit alone. If it ain't broke............don't fuckin fix it.:gaah:

Oh and Chef, I think it's time to drop Yelick...you've had him long enough.

Yeah, I went to check out Urri-whatever yesterday, and I was a little surprised he wasn't added yet. At least Yahoo is johnny-on-the-spot when it comes to the DL, though.

Rev, it's been so long with Yelich I hardly think about him being on the roster anymore. I might as well wait a bit longer. :noidea:

ATTENTION - Remember, if you have comcast/xfinity cable, for the next week, you will be able to watch all games on the MLB package for free. I do not know if other cable companies do this, but I know Comcast does. They give you the first week of the season and the week after the A.S break for me.

My poor wife, and me switching between 5-6 games everynight.......

I know BigD isn't in any keeper leagues, because if he was I'm sure he'd change his tune.
A lot of the rookies are generally scooped up by people that play in keeper leagues or people who are newer to fantasy baseball that buy into the hype and hope for lightning in a bottle.

I like the drafting process to much to deal in keeper leagues. That, and though I like a certain amount of reality in my fantasy, I don't want THAT much. I like the fact that I can turn my brain off every year from October to February, and not have to worry about baseball.

That's one of the reasons I gave up fantasy football (the other reason is I sucked at it ).
I've usually got my keepers 90% set by the end of the season so I can spend the off-season casually keeping up with the player signings.

You can have mine, if there is a way for these funds to be gifted.

V-cash is like herpes, you can never fully get rid of it.
If you lost that 500 there would be a fresh 25 in your account the next day.
