I would be happy to have him back but a big reason why he left was for money right? and of course the 4 game suspension

Grab someone in the draft IMO and roll with Simon/Lane. Simon will be diff. with a season of health and getting reps knowing he's going to start. And we could spend a 1st or 2nd on a CB.

What we should focus in free agency is a vet WR who can help develop our younger guys and grab a DE like Trent Cole, Jabaal Sheard (dream scenario) or Adrian Clayborn.

I would welcome Browner back. He's not as good as Maxwell but is still a quality player and fits what we do, obviously. Blackmon is a good depth guy I suppose but the starting spot opposite Sherm is stilt a ? right now.

I wouldn't be against bringing Browner back at a decent price. He'd have to stop getting himself suspended every year though.

I'd be ok w/ Browner because i'm not ok w/ Simon as an option...

At a reasonable price I'd welcome him back

Would you guys rather have Browner or Tramon Williams? Both are around the same age and will likely command the same per year salary.

Damn. Tough question.
Truly I'd rather have a kid Pete could coach up. As bad as Simon has looked, he still has lots of upside. Add a mid round draft pick and maybe a mid to low level FA.
Burley plays outside. He looked to have good coverage skills last year. We need some help at CB, but it has to be a pretty good value, financially speaking.

Define upside? I'm curious because fans keep saying that... How has he shown upside?

I just view him as a backup who is decent enough to spell the starter a few games if he gets hurt...

He is a pretty good athlete that is 6`3" and just over 200 lbs. That is a big corner who is 24 years old.
My eye test told me that even when he got smoked, he had good recovery speed and I was impressed with that.
I am looking at our replacement situation for Maxwell and it ain't good. Max wasn't good his 1st year. I hope this kid is a fast learner like most of our D backfield.
We will also add a piece or 2 to the situation and hope for the best.

Meh, signing Browner won't get me excited. Been there done that, I'd rather see a rookie compete for the spot. Seahawks have been rather good at finding CBs in the draft and not with a high draft choice. A cheap vet would be fine for a temp. spot .. I'm not ready to give up on Simon either, not to mention that Lane should be back at some point.

People go watch all of Simons games, he played in more than just the superbowl. He had a bad game but looked well in others. He has upside yes he does. Matter of fact in one of his games he looked better than Maxwell.

Would have been good to get him back, but it appears the FO is pretty high on Cary Williams. I guess we'll see.

Not sure what they see in Cary Williams, that contract is a head scratcher, but finding gems in the secondary seems to be their forte. So I'll withhold judging. Hopes it works out great.

Yeah, 3 years $18 million and a $3.5 million signing bonus (and 2015 fully guaranteed), so very different than what I first saw reported.

It's interesting that the Patriots did not make much of an effort to get him back.
First they did not pick up his option -
Then they did not offer him as more than he was making -
9 games last year, 8 games in 2013? Isn't that part-time?????
