I think more folks felt the same than would like to admit it.think it's still too early for considering most of this but I will admit I was wrong about giving up on him after last season

Very true. We all are going to be wrong occasionally. It looks like I am going to be wrong about Martin Perez three different times. lolI think more folks felt the same than would like to admit it.
Lol. If that is keeping up, then you are doing a very admirable job.Just trying to keep up with you guys
Hey, I admit it. I didn't figure he could ever get his average up. He is doing great right now and is one of those that seems to have a good eye at the plate. And he is playing really good defense out in the OF. Still plenty of season to go though.I think more folks felt the same than would like to admit it.
What do you guys think of this idea?
The rangers have had the hardest schedule in mlb so far this year and their lineup is still mashing. We have very close to the best lineup in the majors.
I think the rangers should look into acquiring an Andrew Cashner type starter. A guy who can eat 5 or 6 innings every single time, giving up 3-4 runs. That would give our lineup a chance to win the game, especially if we’re at home. The main thing we need to avoid is scrubs like Miller giving up 9 runs after 2 innings and blowing up the bullpen.
Cashner would probably be very cheap to acquire, I doubt tons of other teams would be trying to trade for him, we could probably get him while holding on to our best prospects. I also think it makes sense because I don’t foresee a ton of imminent pitching help from the farm this year or next year. I think those guys are still 2+ years away.
Why give anything up to get anyone? we should be acquiring young talent not giving any of it away, its this mentality that caused us to give away guys like Tanner Roark and Kyle Hendricks in various trades
Personally, I never oppose acquiring a good pitcher. Miller needs to be taken out of the rotation. At this point our offense can score enough runs to win almost any game but often we lose because of pitching either SP or BP. So if we pick up a Cashner type, good but for cash. What do you guys think of this idea?
