Yeah, i think you are talking out in left field again. But whatever
I've been saying for 2+ years that we need to find a successor for Big Ben. You could probably verify this but that might be too much work. Bottom line: If we had cared more about a real successor to Ben, we might not have such a gray and cloudy outlook on the future. Those of us who still respect Ben for what he's done for this franchise but also call for him to retire saw the writing on the wall a long time ago. Not everyone can be Tom Brady and play high caliber ball at an older age.

It's easy to say what I would've done with hindsight being what it is. Draft someone, don't draft someone, sign someone, don't sign someone. But I would've 100% made a QB signing in free agency. I'd be much more comfortable with Teddy Bridgewater as our backup right now and in 2019, he only cost $7 mil to sign. Look at what the Rams did before this year started and how it's paid off for them. We are stuck in our ways and it's not working out too well lately and the longer we wait to do something, the longer the rebuild process is. What we have now 2 QBs who are a combined 8-14 as starters and have a TD, INT breakdown of 27-24.

Tl;dr - We are in trouble. It's gonna be a long road and that's because this organization would rather be reactive than proactive and at this point, it's fucking embarrassing.

I would say that running the ball is proven to work.
Encouraging, but they are still not quite there with the passing game. The run game is opening things up, in combination with better pass blocking, but Ben is still failing to connect.

The worse thing about Ben failing to connect is the organization is actively letting him do that as if just seeing what happens will actually help. Just wish we had a good path to a successful future without Ben. I'd even take a decently laid path but we have nothing.

He's actually been very sure-handed this season, so far.
Gotta hand it to him, his hands have improved very well this season. I guess the drop joke is not relevant anymore for DJ18.

On this week’s episode we take you to a distant galaxy where no Steelers player is on the most drops in the NFL list and you unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into… the Twilight Zone

Surprised Enron isn't on the list.

That’s why the drop stat is so controversial… the definition of a drop or a “catchable ball” varies too much. It’s purely a judgement call half the time.

^ Speaking of drop passes they did a nice segment during the Charger game on Johnson and how he worked on that this season.

Here is the old story, unfortunately I can't find a video just yet.
