There's a fine balance point here. After so many weeks of not playing, he'll be incredibly sore after that first time out with any kind of "normal" work load. Do you want him fighting that soreness going into the first round or the second? That's what I think of when the term "rust" comes up because he's not forgetting the plays or how to run. Can his body hold up in the playoffs after missing so much action?

I see what you're saying and agree to a point but seems like the muscle soreness your referring to last 3 to 4 days after you play... I don't believe that soreness would last into the next game... If he's injured, that's one thing but the muscle soreness could be something the trainer's would be able to subdue imo..

I'd like to see him play the 1st and 3rd quarter... I think he needs to get some carries imo to shake off the rust...

I wouldn't give him any carries, let his first game back be in the 1st round of the play offs.

Yeah, let him work out and practice but keep him healing until round 1 ... Having him in the playoffs would be a HUGE lift...

Think having him run a dozen times might be good. Let him get use to the hitting, but limit the hits. Then full bore come playoffs.

Sounds like Lynch will not play on Sunday. Much more important to have him healthy for the playoff run.

Russ and Dougie are on fire. Defense is healthy. Only key ingredient missing is a true threat in the run game. Marshawn's presence alone will keep the defense honest.

Is there a better addition to a team going into the playoffs than a post season proven, power running beast with
fresh legs?

No one wants to get ahead of ourselves, but sliding a fresh Marshawn Lynch into this offense just in time for the playoffs should make any other team quite a bit less confident.

Let's just hope he gets the ball on the 1 this time.

He's back and "worked out" but I didn't hear Carroll say or read that he said Lynch was practicing today. Did that indeed happen? I don't think he actually practiced today, but I hope I'm wrong...

They don't actually "practice" until Wednesday.
