He got hurt on the PK. Which he rarely ever plays. But, because of the melee, Martin is out there blocking shots. That's why this type of thing pisses me off.

It's not 1975, and these guys are making 20k a season. Martin is worth 4 million a season, check that 5 million. Not to mention what a guy like Letang, Fleury or Staal are worth to this team in the coming season.

They cannot become a sacrificial lamb. They're worth too much money.

Ideally, the Pens skate Z and Orpik as their top two PK defensemen. Martin is used more for his puck-moving ability, five on five, and some on the 2nd powerplay.

I didn't hear one way or another... but, sure, he should/could be suspended... he won't be, but I like the option the league has to potentially suspend the coach... I don't think Byslma 'ordered' him out so I don't expect a suspension.

He's currently under suspension, with the league being able to review it. Also will be fined 10k and the team could also be fined. I'm just ticked because if there's anyone who deserves some punishment, it's the Isles coach who let his team goon it up.

Tangradi passed initial concussion testing, but has symptoms of one. Danny B says the first half looked like a hockey game and the second 'did not.'

That about sums it up. Not much more to add but the Isle's had an intensity to beat the Pens early. You have to give them credit for that but it became bush league out there and it went a few steps too far.

Godard is an automatic ten, but obviously the league will look into it. I really think that Danny B will be let off the hook as far as a fine goes, and MIGHT get a few games. But goodness gracious talk about adversity.

I mean, Johnson wasn't backing down from anything, but the fact of the matter is it should never have happened, because as you said, a ref needs to be escorting him to the box. That ALSO said, players need to honor the code and respect their fellow player. Half the issue in sports right now is a lack of respect for the opponent. Inflicting pain is welcome, cheap shots and that junk has no place in sports.

The Godard/Gilles fight yeah but after that it was all garbage and his team played very bush league.

What a joke. You get 'even' on a goalie by scoring goals (check!) and squaring up to a guy you think laid a bad hit last game, you don't go batshit on a team. I mean, both teams are to blame for the extent it got to tonight, but the Isles were doling out the cheap shots, and after that every scrum becomes a little more physical.
