Now Steiggy says the Wild goalie is Nik Backstrom.

...because it is. Ignore this.

Funny, I follow someone on twitter who asks for predictions and RT's them...everyone always predicts these high scoring affairs...it's the WILD, come on now!

That Neal/Nisky deal looks more beautiful every night.

The fact that it was a two for one, and Goligoski was the one? I still don't get it, but I'm not complaining. And it's not like they can say that Niskanen wasn't at least a competent defenseman. He has ability.

Neal is looking great, but I also remember hearing about his streaks of good and bad. We saw a lot of bad, last year.

Neal is known to be a hot starter. Lets hope he can keep it up all year.

When that deal was made I didn't realize Goligoski had that much value. But for anyone to say Neal is streaky lets not forget Gogo wasn't the model of consistency either especially in his own zone.

I mean, yeah, Nisky was having a rough career in Dallas, but was a high ceiling player. Neal was streaky, but known to have a good shot and was a hard worker, also a winger. Gogo was a guy who could score occasionally, move the puck, but was rather rough in his own zone. Comparing the potential to the potential in that deal is wayyyy lopsided.

I would trade Goligoski for Neal and never think twice, but the fact that you got another player not named Jody Shelly makes it 10x better

Strait goes off with an arm injury. I guess Despres or Bortuzzo will be in the line-up Thursday night...

Strait injured, Vitale high sticked.

Strait injury guess: subluxed shoulder

Finallly Staal scores the type of goal he should!

Nothing is funnier than the goof Bob Errey's quote: "It's hard to score with a long stick and big body...."
