Valencia and Zunino are tough to watch.
One of my concerns with Felix going into this season was how much he was walking guys last year, its a good sign that he has improved with that.Anyone see the ticker on ESPN today? Says Felix is 1 of 4 pitchers with at least 15k without issuing a BB. This guy continues to be amazing even now with the amount of work he put in thru his career.
Hes also producing a lot of groundball outs. Seems to me he's reinventing himself over the past few seasons and we may just see that result this yearOne of my concerns with Felix going into this season was how much he was walking guys last year, its a good sign that he has improved with that.
He wasn't getting his fastball in for strikes for much of last year so hitters were sitting on his off speed mistakes in the middle. He obviously worked on it and seems to be locating the fastball much more consistently this year so far. Looked like he was using it a lot yesterday. More than I remember him using it during his funk last year. And when they sit on his fastball he throws that change up.Hes also producing a lot of groundball outs. NO! Thank goodness. Is this where Seager hits into a DP to end it?
He's really coming out strong this season.
Just hope he stays healthy for a change.
