One of my concerns with Felix going into this season was how much he was walking guys last year, its a good sign that he has improved with that.

Hes also producing a lot of groundball outs. Seems to me he's reinventing himself over the past few seasons and we may just see that result this year

He wasn't getting his fastball in for strikes for much of last year so hitters were sitting on his off speed mistakes in the middle. He obviously worked on it and seems to be locating the fastball much more consistently this year so far. Looked like he was using it a lot yesterday. More than I remember him using it during his funk last year. And when they sit on his fastball he throws that change up.

Now if he can just keep from hurting himself running to cover 1st or something else stupid we should be in good shape with him.

Paxton looks fantastic. He looks like he has finally put everything together. He has been a monster out there so far this season.

I mean right now if you had to win a game and could take any starter you'd put Paxton in for sure.

paxton obviously put a lot of time into getting a little more fit this offseason

it's not like he was fat before or anything, but he's noticeably trimmer, and it seems to have helped him to some degree
