I questioned it at first until they showed the replay. The runner on 1B went back to tag up for some reason so it would have been 1B and 2B.

You can call it that but it's a type of game I expect when an ace is on the mound. 8 strong inning and enough offense to win.

First game I went to in several years and overall not a bad night at the ball park. The little statues are pretty cool, Felix was dealing, the food is good (but of course over priced), and outside of the embarrassments at 1st and catcher there isn't much bad to say.

Speaking of which.. they're really gonna have a tough time selling out this year unless the team is competitive. Opening day wasn't a sell out and last night wasn't either considering what they had to offer for a Friday game. I had no problems snatching up tickets.

I haven't been to a game in years, but it hasn't been because of their play on the field. It was my total disdain for the upper management and ownership. After they worked so hard to block the arena deal I had enough.

Let's face it, you can't be a life long M's fan and not be used to shitty play. I went last night because a coworker had an open ticket at the last minute and my wife and daughter are out of town. I'll actually buy tickets to at least a couple of games this year just to take the family and it won't matter if they are improving or the same old Mariners. A day out at the park with the family is a fun time either way.

Exactly! I was not happy when they blocked the arena deal and their excuses were poor at best. Take this year as a prime example... we know now the NBA season is over and the M's have played what? 4 home games so far as the NBA season was closing out. Even if they start out the season at home you're looking at maybe a day or two with concurrent games in SoDo. So the excuse of having poor traffic in the area doesn't really pan out. They were afraid of the competition and they knew it... that in turn turned many fans aways.

The simple fact is, they got greedy and want the place for themselves. The traffic has no bearings on these things and I'm sure the NBA and MLB will work around to avoid same home games start times as the BNA season finished up. (Also should note that I don't expect an expansion team to make the playoffs anytime soon).

Great game last night, lots of fun to take it in the with the Fam. Felix was fantastic. Diaz had his good stuff.

Wasn't planning to go today, but it's Salute to Armed Forces Night so....I guess it's my duty.
