They have for decades. It is their blue print. If you followed me you know I have said for years that building a championship caliber team is not in ownerships best interest. It cost more and builds expectations that fans will expect for years to come which means more expense for them. Building a mediocre team that flirts with winning is cheap and keeps all expectations low. hell we got people on this site arguing for management as if we the fans owe them gratitude. They sold 2.7M tickets last year so what does spending $100M more in salary gain them? Nothing. They have the best expense to income ratio working right now. Hence why they are number one in the majors in profit. What, about $150M+ in profits in last two years?

So you say fans are pissed off. Ok, yet they will sell out so many games and still have all the revenue they need. Nothing will change. Nothing has ever changed.

They have already tried and accomplished it. The rebuild was a PR move. The last 3 years since have been a smoke screen to delay. And not this excuse because of Xfinity. For every fan that knows, there are dozens that still support. That is all they need. This isn't anything new. It is an ongoing process that has no need to end for them. Remember last offseason was the final straw for fans yet here we are again. They own the fans. End of story. Hell, if Was-Mart can charge you what they want then make you ring up and bag your own groceries on top of it, then this has no end.

That affects them being able to renew contracts for the Blazers and Kraken. Does it suck sure, but it’s not like Comcast doesn’t have projections on what would happen if they bumped them up. Along with maybe don’t make Roots sports only profitable viable linear television. Stanton didn’t keep TMobile stagnant so not sure why the baseball operations is

Without getting Glasnow back, the staff is going take a blow giving up Miller or Woo without having Marco to slide into the 5th spot.
