Oh nice… they’re already starting the narrative
Mariner fans are suckers for gimmicksThe rebuild begins:
Blew all their money on bobbleheads and nothing left for FA's. YayThe rebuild begins:
I just can't believe the narrative they are putting out that they won't trade a SP. Castillo makes little sense for them and their tight budget. If you can get a decent bat or even some high-level prospects, you deal him and go for a half the price starting SP.Maybe this means Castillo will be dealt. Seems like there would be an opening day starter give away. Even though he doesn’t deserve it I think he will get the nod

What people tend to forget is that upper-level SP's are being overvalued by people. With hitting at a multi-decade low, you can get by with mediocre pitching. Great pitching is almost a waste right now because hitting is so low. Bats are the premium.
Castillo just seems like the perfect guy to trade this offseason. Not sure how much money Baltimore would eat of his deal but the M’s and Orioles match up perfectly for trade partners. They need controllable pitching and the M’s need hitters.I just can't believe the narrative they are putting out that they won't trade a SP.
