Ya pretty much right on. I am no hitting coach, but always thought he should change his position in the box. He pulls off all pitches which means he can't hit the outside pitches and isn't quick enough to turn on inside pitches. Changing locations in the box is the only thing I know of that can help. I say stand closer to the plate and give up the inside pitch. If it is a strike then so be it. If it is inside, take the HB. Then dive and drive the outside pitch the other way.
I am in no way a hitting expert either, but I believe Dan Wilson is still with the organization and the way Dan Wilson hit was very similar where he could hit the other way harder than it appeared with inside pitches. So have Dan work with him or whatever because if White can just get to Dan Wilson production on offense his defense is worth it IMO. It’s not like White doesn’t have the ability just needs a different approach similar to how countless Mariners have struggled badly with the M’s then go to a different organization and become productive.

Wonder what it really is going to take for him to get called up.
Well he just ended his hitting strike tonight so maybe that will do it. It would be so Mariners.

When I saw a game a few weeks ago he’s the one I saw pitch. Had a rough first inning walking 3 guys but was dominant afterwards. My questions with him will be his command and also whether the organization decides to keep as a starter or not. He’s probably not far off if he ends up being a reliever

I hope he sticks at starter if he has the stuff. I think it is so easy to turn guys to relievers and so hard to find real starters. We need people to replace Marco and Shef at some point in the near future.

I think he has a plus fastball but the other 3 pitches are closer to average. I also would love to see him stay a starter and develop those a little more as opposed to abandon them just so he could make the big leagues quicker

That is kind of the problem with baseball now days though. The starter is going by the way side unless he can be dominant ace, but there aren’t enough aces to go around. There isn’t anything wrong with having a quality number 3 starter. Prior to this year, I think we all agreed that Marco isn’t the guy you want going in an elimination game, but was a guy you would want going in the 3rd game of a playoff series. It is more valuable for the organization to try to keep him as a starter rather than rush him through where he would get bastardized into be being a specialist.

BobbyHoneyman
1B is doing ok at arkansas...a converted from ss/3B..guy
i expect them to draft at least 2 1st base guys..and at least..one more guy who can play an other pos..like RF..and 1Bas well
this year is a really good year for 1st base guys....this draft is..short on 2B and SS guys so they should draft them high,,and 3b,,is just as short
there are enough out field guys..for them to get some good ones......and a lot of good catchers as well this year
pitching will prob be few in the top 10 rounds..then a lot.in the next 10 rounds..but we will see soon

then after the draft they will fill AZL..with free agents

Since being demoted to the Tacoma Rainiers in early June, Kelenic has now played in 12 games. In those games, he has recorded 10 hits, which equals out to a .204 batting average. The top prospect also owns a .268 OBP and .429 SLG since rejoining the Rainiers.

Despite his recent struggles of hitting his way on, Jarred Kelenic has hit three home runs and two doubles. The outfielder has also stolen three bases and struck out 10 times, which isn’t terrible.

When you put his stats together from earlier in the year and this month, Kelenic now has a .263 batting average with the Tacoma Rainiers, five home runs, five stolen bases, a .318 OBP, and a .818 OPS.
