Have a day, @stefonson. He's homered twice, the most recent being a solo shot in the 5th. Rainiers leading Fresno, 5-1.

Sam Gaviglio also had a solid game pitching last night. Bouncing back after 2 bad starts. 6IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 5 K's, 2BB.
Other Notes from May 2nd:
As NWAZ mentioned Romero went deep twice with 3 RBI's. Beimel threw 2 scoreless innings. Montero is hitting .330 with OPS of .840. My only criticism of Montero at the plate is only 2 walks other than that he has been great at the plate.

Mike Kickham pitching tonight for Rainiers, he has been terrible so far. 21 Walks in 17 innings!!!!! If there is anything I was to see out of him tonight its don't walk anyone.

By the way did anyone mention the Clinton Lumberkings pitched a no hitter on Friday? Three pitchers combined for a no hitter.
And to be honest I don't know anything about the three guys that did it. The pitchers were: Daniel Missaki, Kody Kerski and Troy Scott. I don't even recognize their names. I usually only check the Clinton boxscores for specific players.

If Missaki wasn't on the top prospect radar before, he should be now. The 19-year-old was electric Friday, holding Cedar Rapids to one walk in seven otherwise flawless innings. Give Missaki credit for attacking the strike zone. In five starts this year, he's fanned 30 hitters while allowing only four walks.

That is good to know. I actually looked into him after you posted this. Turns out hes been with the org. since 2013, he was 17 years old. He has only pitched in the rookie leagues until this season. Should be a guy to keep an eye on although he is still several seasons away from becoming a factor with the big club.

Didn't notice you post this... I've been rooting for this kid so much... He's worked so hard to get back... Great to see him pitch well...
