I don't see that with this group. Not a whole lot of upside in this draft class. Even Nick Neidert doesn't project all that much. If they can pull off signing Parker McFadden (which is a long shot with the slotting system) that would add some upside.

Same was said about Seager and Miller a few years back. Way too early to tell. All I know is the guys M's think are can't misses miss and guys nobody pays much attention to end up actually contributing.

I'll give you Seager but Brad Miller was the ACC player of the year. He's doing what was expected of him. He was compared to Craig Consell in college. He's a good everyday SS. If he moves off of SS on the other hand, he'll lose a ton of value.

How more options do we have w/ Montero? Curious to know because we should bring him up when we play AL teams again as the DH to see what he can do... He could also spell LoMo here and there...

Options are good for the whole year so if we bring him up we can go back and forth all year with him.

How many seasons? 3? Options is one of the things i'm not too current with...

3 options years to be clear and not 3 actual options. He can be called up in a year as many times as needed and counted as 1 option year. I just wanted to make sure that was understood.

Montero should have 2 options left....could be wrong about that. I do know that Ackley is the only guy remaining on the 40 man who is out of options. As awful as he is, he wouldn't clear waivers, so I think that's why idiot Jack is still holding onto him.

As NW said, once an option is exercised, the player can be sent up and down the rest of the season. If Montero only has 1 option left (again, i think he has 2), then this will be it for him. He'd have to be released or DFA'd, and he wouln't clear waivers, either.
