MARINERS MAKE THEIR MANAGERIAL CHOICE: The Mariners will turn to someone without prior managing experience to lead their clubhouse, but it won’t be Jason Varitek. The L.A. Times was the first to report that new Seattle GM Jerry DiPoto will tab Scott Servais as his manager. Servais had previously worked with DiPoto in the Angels front office. The Seattle Times has more on Servais and Tim Bogar, the former Red Sox bench coach who will serve in that same role with the Mariners.

Why do the Mariners always bring in un-proven managers... The only one that ever really had success with us was Lou Piniella ... Our ownership sucks we all know that... BUT common ... How many un-known guy's has it been now, and NONE ever work out....
