I was actually pretty impressed with Walker tonight. He didnt seem like he had his A stuff and had trouble locating early but hung in there and put up a solid game. Just the mental aspect in itself is an upgrade over Erasmo. It will be a treat to see him when he has his good stuff.

Yeah I was impressed with his performance too. After giving up those 2 early hrs I thought we were in for a long night, but he settled down and pitched his way through 6 tough innings.

If he stays healthy Walker is going to be a stud for us. Having him back in the rotation could be that boost the Mariners need to make this playoff push

......wow I really just said "Mariners" and "playoffs" in the same sentence

Nice job of settling down by walker. Big Tom has been great out of the pen. James Jones with 4 straight hits and 3 more stolen bases. And the power bats are alive. Ackley looks like the only weak link in this lineup right now.

high ceiling ackley doing his thing

He HAD a high ceiling but what we've found out was that he has a muck lower floor. Lol

I'm glad the M's (like me) thought Ackley had the higher ceiling at 2B because they ended up lucking into a great 3B like Seager. Don't want to think of where this team would be without Seager and Cano.

i hadn't watched the m's in a few years when i decided to tune back in starting in 2012

there was a lot of hype about ackley since he played well for a little over half a season in 2011, so i though i'd check out the m's in 2012.

i saw a guy get completely owned by the league's pitching after they figured him out, and that hasn't changed in the past 2.5 years.

on the other hand, i saw seager for the first time as well, and he seemed to learn with every AB, and he's been rock solid for the past 2.5 years, and is still improving.

i don't remember the names of the morons on espn, but there were a few who just couldn't be reasoned with when discussing which of them had more potential at the MLB level.

any negative comment about ackley was met with "BUT HE HAS SUCH A HIGH CEILING YOU JUST WAIT BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH." it's why i started jokingly calling seager "low ceiling seager".

it was a riot.

anyhoo, i'm just glad the m's developed 1 true MLB hitter in the past half decade in seager. jones may also be right there when all's said and done. and i think zunino is going to be a very good hitting catcher.

yeah, it's surreal.

in just a couple of short weeks, they've gone from the bottom of the basement in offense to being 12th in runs scored, 20th in slg, and 23rd in BA. those still aren't great numbers but it's a huge improvement in a short time. if they can keep this up, i'll be very happy, no matter the playoff situation in a few months.

By the way, that hill and pole in center field is the stupidest thing in sports. Jesus, there's even a dead fucking bird lying on the hill IN PLAY! What a joke.

That was awesome. High and a ball but he was able to hit it where the 3rd baseman was giving a huge hole. I love watching good hitting!

That's why you don't put the shift on Cano.

Doubles for everyone!!!

I'm really starting to come around on Lomo. He's been hitting some serious line drives lately
