Lind for me has been the biggest disappointment. I actually like Navarro in Tacoma. Thought he was an up and comer with Angels. I was kind of hoping we traded Lind back to Toronto who is looking for a 1B from what I read last week. I know, it is still early o the year.

Lind has indeed struggled.

It seems impossible to me that he won't get his OPS+ above 100. He's averaged about 130 for the past 3 years.

He's at 60 right now. So he's either due to heat up pretty quick...or he just sucks now (please no).

That's why you don't shift on cano.

Shifting has gotten out of control the last few years, and if batters want to make teams stop - that's exactly what they have to do. Take the hits they gift wrap you.

almost no hitters beat the shift.

that's why teams shift.

the more extreme pull hitters should open their stances when they get behind in the count, kind of like what boone did back in the day. but NOBODY makes adjustments anymore.

After some early season errors Marte has been very solid as a defensive SS

It's so nice to see this team executing bunts this season... We were so hard to watch in that area last season... We at least do it at the right time's this year as well, last few years under McCLendon was a different story...

That 9th inning was way more sweaty than it needed to be.

Cishek has a tendency to make it scarier than it should be, but seems to always come through. Good win! We have a good team fellas, I'm saying it now!

Very Rodneyesque as someone put it earlier this year. I'd rather have the 1-2-3 ninth saves though, but as long as he gets it done. Nice to see the Mariners beat Oakland. Iwakuma has been pretty hit or miss this year so far. Hopefully he's on tomorrow.

We haven't seen that since Jason Veritek... Oh wait... nvm... Errr, uhm, Dan Wilson...

I miss seeing Dan Wilson work some magic behind the plate. That guy was something else. One of the best ever at fielding his position IMO.

I agree regarding Kuma. The good thing is on any given game day we have the potency to put a ten spot on the board erasing a bad outing. I don't expect it, but at least for once I know it's possible.

Might be true, but I never have that 'Rodney Feeling' with Cishek.

True. So far it doesn't look like Cishek will just completely lose all command the way Rodney could. When you can't throw a splitter for strikes it forces you to throw fastballs. Cishek's slider looks like a pitch he can bury or use for an easy backdoor strike stealer.

I think Lind's issue is he got off to slow start because the M's faced so many lefties at the beginning of the year. He has been getting regular PT the last two weeks and facing righties. He seems to be locking in and really hitting the ball hard. I'm confident his numbers will return to the norm over the course of the year.

Bigger issue with Lind started in the second half last year and have continued. Maybe he recovers, but this isn't something that just started.
