If Hultzen can make it through the year healthy I'd be ok with that. Don't even care if its at AA or whatever. Maybe if all goes well he can compete for a spot in 2016

This makes sense cause its likely that Happ won't be back after this season.

Just from watching him at Tacoma he seemed like a Bedard clone. Would actually be pretty solid then around the 5th or so his control would just fall off the map and he was done. Maybe a solid middle reliever?

So we are taking a guy who has only played 2nd and hoping to move him to the outfield. My god is that just not the most Mariner thing ever.

But I suppose if its someone that can compete with Ackely I am for it. I guess you could put him at 2nd, have Cano DH and move Cruz to the OF once a week as well.

Yeah, he definitely has great stuff... Pitched very well in his instructional league outings at the end of last year before they shut him down for ST... I've been excited about this #1 pick since we drafted him... He's definitely in our future plans...

I live 20 minutes from the stadium so I will be there on weekends for practices and with family coming down in March (brother and friend come down every spring training since 2009) I will be hitting 7 games (different stadiums) in 8 days from March 15th-22nd.

Will probably hit a game 7th or 8th as well. Enjoy.

Nice... We'll be watching the Giants as well... I will be heading down w/ my father in law... We have a friend named, Jeremy Affeldt who pitches for the Giants and he'll be getting us a few tickets and we'll meet up for dinner w/ him and his wife too...

That's pretty cool. This will be my 8th spring training and it is always fun. Laid back and close to the action at every park. I think the only 2 parks I haven't been to are Giants and Cubs and we are going to watch the M's play at Cubs this spring. Enjoy your time and meeting up with Affeldt. Something most people don't get the chance to do.

Haven't had the opportunity to follow Mariners news too much lately, just saw that we signed Rickie Weeks. I'm sure it has already been discussed, but for only $2m it could be a good signing. Should be interesting to see how he performs and where the Mariners play him.
