I'm still surprised he transferred to Arizona. I mean he'll get alot of playing time because they'll be depleted next year, but under normal circumstances, he wouldn't have.

He will get more minutes than he would have this season at Duke behind Carter, Bagley, DeLaurier, and Bolden. If Bolden returns, which I think he might, and certain DeLaurier, then Jeter would ride the pine again next season as well. Maybe Miller can use his weak hands and one-handed tipped rebounds, I don't know.

I was at the 2 sessions in Idaho yesterday... Lucked out and got to witness 4 great games!

UNCG v Zags... Zags were predicted to blow this team out of the water, but they barely stayed afloat for most of the game. They played very conservatively which was painful to watch. If it wasn't for a few last minute calls that went in their favor, they'd be going home early. I picked them to make it to the sweet 16, and I'm doubting they even make it past the round of 32.

South Dakota St v Ohio State... OSU played like idiots out there. They shot 26 3-pters in the 1st period. Missed a crap ton, but made enough to keep themselves in the lead. OSU had an easy size advantage but they didn't exploit it. They let SDSU control the paint and just chucked 3's all game. SDSU caught fire just before the half but came out flat in the 2nd. Looked like a completely different team. OSU took advantage, and finally started playing smart basketball and driving the lanes & working the post. They got up to a 10-14pt lead then started floating 3's again. Shocker, SDSU caught up once again. OSU outlasted them.

Kentucky v Davidson... Steph Curry was in attendance in his walking boot. Pretty cool seein him cheering on his team. Wasn't until fairly late in the game that Davidson made a game out of it from beyond the arc. They caught fire. Kentucky was dominating inside so that was about all that Davidson could do to stay competitive. Towards the waning minutes Kentucky got just enough breathing room to close it out. The "and 1" after draining the 3-pt shot was a dagger. It was 70-70 and Davidson had all the momentum, then that dagger knocked the wind out of them and they couldn't recover.

Arizona v Buffalo... I got absolutely ridiculed all morning when I told people that I picked Buffalo to win this game. I had the last laugh! This game was fun to watch. Buffalo took a while to find their rhythm but they stayed on top of Arizona and battled hard. The 2nd period they just absolutely unloaded on them. Draining 3-pters & driving the lane for easy buckets. Deandre Ayton may be destined for the NBA, but man is he a raw product. 1st year Freshman from the Bahamas. He really needs to learn defense and how to set a pick & roll. Buffalo made him look lost out there. Pinning their C's on him to box out and not let him get position was the recipe to keep him phased out. He had no answer. If they can ride this hot streak then they can absolutely defeat Kentucky in the next round. Yea I said it!
