Goodell is a polesmoker
I may catch hell for saying this. Young qb with alcohol problem. We know jerrah and stevie like him. I personally would not mind it.
I can't believe I'm saying this but....I'd be fine with Manziel in Dallas as a #3 behind Cassel. Dallas would be foolish to not carry 2 plus Romo from here on out.Manziel has 2 years left on a cheap contract. It has some appeal since he'll likely be no worse than other back-up QBs. Multiple teams should be interested if the Browns will accept a low pick.
A trade isn't going to happen until the new NFL year in March. A lot of things will be clearer then, including Manziel's NFL status. He is almost certainly in stage 1 of the NFL's testing procedures due to his media coverage. If he hasn't fallen foul of a 4 game ban by March then he's probably worth taking a chance on. Since he'll be 1 mistake away from a ban for some time to come any team trading for him ought to have a #3 QB somewhere on the books.
Manziel wouldn't be a reliable #1 QB but i'd prefer him to Cassel as the #2 QB.
If your goal is to keep the Cowboys in the headlines by all means bring Manziel. But I hope it never happens.
Nope. I just think it would create a circus and I don't think Manziel is going to make it in the NFL.Guessing you are from here in Tyler and don't we know what all kinds of additional struggles this could likely bring for Jonathan.
Way better option.Would rather have Robert.....
Didn't Jerry Jones want him initially anyway?
That's the rumor. But he has to have seen all the drama and little substance on the field. Jerry is always a sucker for a big name or a big ego, so JFF could end up here. I just don't see the need. Anytime a 3rd string QB is making headlines, the team has gotten sideways.
Johnny has demons that he must get under control and I don't think the bright spotlight of Dallas would help that at all. I mean come on guys he is in Cleveland not exactly Dallas NY Chicago. In Dallas I think it would just open up another tent in the Jerry Jones Circus. And while the Circus is always open with Jerry attendance is down right now and that's the way I would like for it to stay.
JMHO
Typical Jerry yes he did. He is often more interested in headline than football it seems.Didn't Jerry Jones want him initially anyway?
That's what I thought. Thought I read somewhere that he (Jones) want to make a "splash" and get him
