Mahomes - Trade??

Well I own Mahomes but he hasn't performed lately (to his standards).

So is he trade worthy?

Keep in mind I do not have a back up QB

This would definitely be the worst time to trade him imo.

Id imagine most Aaron Rodgers owners had a halfway decent QB to alternate with him because he wasn't super expensive to pick up this year.

can't blame you for putting him on your bench and going with another option at this stage though, he's a damn liability with all these turnovers and no more pinball stats in the 2nd half of games.

You're pretty much explaining why you can't trade him. Everyone is really low on him right now and while that value might stay low it could certainly also bounce back. Nobody will pay you for that bounce back, though.

I think you have to ride it out. Maybe pick up a guy with some upside on the ww if he doesn't get right soon (Taysom Hill? Fields maybe, if you believe). But prepare yourself for him to go off once you decide to bench him.

2 QB league, he's still a premium asset, and doubtful that you can just find another option in the meantime. i mean, in a 2 QB league you're likely looking at the Mike White's, Trevor Semians, as the only viable options..and I would imagine both were likely scooped up as waivers processed last night..if not sooner. Maybe Cooper Rush, but if Dak was a game time call last week, I highly doubt he misses another game (barring a nother injury of course).

That's the other thing I loathe about 2 QB's leagues, far too difficult to find someone to play if injury strikes in the middle of the bye's. At least with Rb's, there are multiple guys on every team that generally at least get to play, and have a relatively decent chance of touching the ball, but with QB's, there's only 1 guy any given week that you can bank on playing for each team. 32 NFL teams, 32 QB's..12 team league, 2 starting QB's, 1 on the bnech--that's 36..already 4 short just to carry a friggin back up that might play.

Perhaps Mahomes is at a low point statistically but his name and his ceiling should command a decent return.

I mean, look, Josh Gordon hasnt caught a pass in 5 years but he gets reinstated and his name & ceiling make him the most coveted pickup.

The only obstacle i see is the number of QB that are hurt... Wilson, Prescott, Rodgers... point is the field has thinned and some of the next tier QB cant hold a candle to Mahomes' value.
