and what does it really change? Luongo will get the same questions from the media ... unless he does a complete operation shutdown and never talk to the media again

I wouldnt even have a problem if he just ignored the media. especially during playoffs. I think this is good. I think it will make a difference in the sense that Lou will be 100% focused on his one objective and that is as puck says. stop the puck

this is his biggest move as a leader of this team.

could be spin but Gillis also said Luongo wanted to relinquish the captaincy in May right after the season but Gillis told him to take the offseason to think and then decide

I would be happy with either Hank or Kes. I also wonder about one of the new boys on the back end... Hamhius maybe.... Then there is always the possibility of going the Wild way and rotating it between a few players...
