yeah i've been a big fan of pdb.....but i think his handling of the workouts is huge. you cant give these guys days off like that!

I'm not living off past success I'm just pointing out that people can't saw we haven't done anything since 2000 when we have been to the finals twice and won a cup since then

I meant in terms of building a winner. Face it, we lucked into that 03 Cup we playes ONE difficult team the whole year (Ottawa) when we beat them it felt like we won the cup the finals was antclimactic. Which is probably when we won it I wasnt as excited as the previous 2

How is this a flop? Panthers have outplayed us since the regular season. Yea, we have more points, but head to head we didn't dominate them. They got the matchup they wanted. Same for the Flyers series 2 years ago, yea we got the higher seed, but they outplayed us...just like this season.

Well Cup did say that the Panthers were a pushover and the Devils would win in 4, so from his perspective it is a flop.

I'm not sure if it would be considered a flop or not. Deboer has done some good things as Cup mentioned. Pretty sad that my expectations were to make the playoffs and win at least one round. Seems like 2003 was so long ago. The Devils are favored in this series for whatever that's worth. However, of all the teams to play, this is the one team I'd figure DEboer could coach us to victory against in the playoffs as he came from the Florida Panthers. Hope we can force this series to go the distance.

making fun of rags fans for living off of past success is perfectly acceptable due to the fact that, while we may be doing somewhat of the same thing, our past success has come much more recently than theirs... also ours was much greater. not a time to be bashing the team dude save that for the off season, cup has already thrown in the towel!! 'this was a perfect matchup'... bad vibes as usual, its funny how little things change. get some positive energy going if you really are a fan dude....
