Could Iggi be gotten later?

Doubtful. Memphis would have to buy him out and they seem intent on trading him.

I doubt they get much for him, but it would be better for them than having to buy him out.

AD deserves MVP consideration....

He's getting it.

Problem is...so is Lebron. They could actually take enough votes from each other that it allows someone else to win it. lol

He will be gone by trade deadline. No point for them to keep him all seas9n

If the Lakers upgrade the roster during the season I'll be disgusted. The best thing that happened to LeBron was missing time due to injury & not having a long playoff run. The LeBron/AD combo is ridiculous. And for a senior citizen in NBA years (games & minutes) he's looking great. Scary for the rest of the league.

No doubt he'll be gone before then. From what's been said, they're just sitting back waiting for teams to get nervous and start making better offers.

I hope like heck that they overplay their hand and the Lakers can pick him up on the buyout market. I just don't see it happening.

I think we're all pretty shocked at how quickly this team appears to have jelled. If what they're doing is sustainable, they may not need to add anyone.

I heard an interesting theory re: Lebron's playing time...

Don McClean said that he may just be one of those Karl Malone types whose body can take it. Said that maybe he's just one of those big, strong players that puts a lot of time and effort into maintaining his body and it pays off.

Malone played until he was 40 and there were only 2 seasons where he didn't play at least 80 games. In 1998-99 when he was 35, he played in 49 games and in his final season, when he was 40, he played in 42 games.

None of that is counting all of the playoff games he played in either.

Good comparison between the Mailman & LeBron. He's an athletic freak. That's why I'd laugh at anyone that would say he'd struggle in Bird & Magic's era.

Another nice win in Atlanta and the win streak is at 7 as we keep pace with Milwaukee who has the same record and we meet at the end of this mini road trip.

They also have won, I believe, 14 straight road games. I'd be interested to know what the Lakers record is for that. I'd think they'd have to be getting close.

I hope they let Kuzma rest and get healthy. We need him healthy for the playoffs. Wow, playoffs..can't believe it LOL. I would also like to load manage Lebron and AD. You can do that by blowing out bad teams.

I read about the Lakers could trade kuz for bogdanovic of Sacramento. He is a better fit with Lebron and AD then Kuz. Kuz still cannot play defense or shot consistently from 3. Bog does both and is a restricted free agent. I would not mind this trade.

The 14-game road winning streak goes down. AD did not play and the Lakers only lose by three. Unfortunately we face Milwaukee on Thursday and this could be back-to-back losses. We shall see.

Good effort. I saw this as a loss without AD and Kuz. We need guys to hit open threes.

We lose in Milwaukee despite 36 from AD. We now have the first back-to-back losses of the season and we have the second best record in the league. The five-game road trip ends and the Lakers return home to regroup.

Good effort. Not much from the bench. We really could have used Kuzma yesterday.

I liked that the Lakers fought back and got back in the game towards the end.

It was the end of a long road trip and when they got down by 20 in the 3rd after clawing their way back into the game, I doubt anyone would have complained if they just said..."it's not our night" and mailed in the rest of the game.

Instead, they fought back and made it interesting late.

Three-in-a-row. Losses that is. Historically we suck on Sundays and without LeBron the scoring was mostly limited. Denver's D was pretty good. Looks like many were celebrating Christmas early as we have a Christmas day game against the Clip joint.

poor defensive effort in second half. We need another 3 and D guy on this team.
