LOL... I can see where you keep your mouth. I am sure Wash enjoys your tongue action. :laugh3:

Well your initial comment wasn't nice either. Like I said I don't get your deal and you're welcome to ignore me. It's the interweb. You should have the common sense to just overlook my posts if you don't like it.

Wash said Murphy smoked that ball. Please Wash.

Say what you will, but he did hit it hard. It doesn't excuse swinging at the first pitch by any means and hitting into the DP, but it was hit hard.

... seventy-five times over the past two years with no outs in the first inning Elvis has been called on to bunt with Kinsler at 1b ... just to get Kinsler to 2b.

... so are we to believe that in the bottom of the ninth with Cruz at 1b with the winning run that Murphy didn't get the bunt sign?

But consider this ... in his career Murphy has a TOTAL of 5 Sac Bunts. Last one was in 2011.

I don't think Murphy knows how to bunt.
he doesn't know how to hit either.

Wash needs to leave Ian hitting third. It worked. There's no other way to say it.

Until he cools off and by then hopefully Cruz heats back up and then you change the order again. See Wash this is the kind of thing that gives your team the best chance to win games. someone flip the light switch for the dude, please

We have to win the h to h games for sure

We have the pitching now to make that happen. I hope Perez finds his sea legs again. I hope he is not like the other two rooks we threw out there and now overexposed.

How about that Giants game against the undefeated Pats in 2007? Yes they lost that game but they said that the game really fired them up and gave them a huge momentum build after that game which ultimately helped them win the super bowl that season.
Athletes believe a lot of stupid superstitions. I promise you that momentum isn't real. It's all in their heads.

Then you put somebody in who can.

Well that's the point tho...real or not if it is in there heads and if it works to their advantage in a positive way then that is the whole point of that momentum. I don't always think it is true but there are times when its real and others when it means zilch.

Exactly!! Momentum creates confidence and provides that mental boost that you have the feeling you can't lose. It's all mental, absolutely.

Well if he is we've got Lewis back soon if he can get it all back together and Harrison not much further down the road.

Announcers talk about it to get ratings and have a story. It bugs the crap out of me to no end, but not everyone is rational.

Perez has much better stuff than those two. He's going to be a stud.

Seems like Soto has been having a lot of good at bats lately. Even in the 2nd inning with 2 guys on and 2 outs he hit the ball solid to the ss.

He seems to hit off of good pitching. He was the one with the big 3 run homer when we beat Verlander in May. He has his moments, but every day play...We are getting ahead of ourselves.

Wondering if JD is still considering a move for Peavy. If we get another pitcher who can give us quality starts, it really ups our chances.

Of course it is, but so much of the game is mental it can certainly affect their play.

I agree announcers do take that and aspect and run away with it.
