Looks like aging takes over

I was looking into our players age and there are too many who are close to mid 30 and over.

Rolston: 37
Langenbrunner: 35
Arnott: 35
Salvador: 34
Elias: 34
Zubrus: 32
White: 32
Hedberg: 37

While team started underperforming this season, why would not start make it younger and bring in some young talents. As of current situation it will not get worse anyway.

granted our top line when healthy is young with kovy parise and zajac you just cant have 3/4 of your forwards being that old! elias has been a shell of his former self since the lockout langs hasnt been the same since that break out season 2 years ago..rolston got his payday and is now a hack...i will say this i am still happy with the way arnott is playing. zubrus has been a bust all his career and white with 1 eye should be released.

Dead on. You can and have to do something here, but you don't just go crazy and do everything under the sun to blow this up. You create a plan of attack. If Mac has a strong suit, it is working with the young kids, as evidenced by his coaching last year.

thats the thing you cant trade anyone on this team that is causing a problem because of their NTC's sure they could waive them since they are on a "losing" team but i doubt thats going to happen....easiest way out of it is with firing maclean. even with this aging lineup the team still put up points last year..one year drop off like this has nothing to do with the coaches?
