How many stars have perfect reputations??? I can think of one really, Duncan

Lebron did it all on the court, he is just playing the gane and doing better than just about anyone

If you hate him fine, but Lebron=legend...something you will have to deal with someday, it will take time since you have so much hatred for him.

And he's getting a divorce.

well, considering the gal in question was a flat-out skank hoe i'd say i'd have my doubts on the matter. as far as Roethlesberger goes(ain't heard a good rapelesberger gag in a while, actually) i have no clue about the chicks he did...though i did see pics of one of 'em. he did some HEAVY drinking that evening i'd say...

well, he ran his mouth too. that's the thing here...

i'm not seeing the big deal here, though. why's everybody gotta like him? because it seems to me it hurts you guys more than anybody else...

i mean, as a Lakers fan we've been hated as long as i can remember. i personally couldn't care less. just puttin' that out there...

LeBron's biggest mistake was leaving Cleveland. I think he could have won titles there once he had both the juice to influence the roster and the basketball smarts to know how (I think he has both now). He could have been the guy who lifted his home team from junk to dynasty instead of having that big douche-blot in the middle of his career.

But everybody should sit back and appreciate him while he's playing, regardless of what team he's on. Right now, he is the NBA, and in that respect he's on a par with Jordan.

Why do Lebron fans try so hard to make people like Lebron? I love that Kobe is hated because when he wins, I like to rub it in the haters face.

You Lebron fans are soft.

Lebron leaving Cleveland was the best decision he ever made. No one was going to come to the Cavs after watching Lebron toil away with scrubs year after year. I've never been to Cleveland but I heard its not a place you want to live to top it all off. I dont see anyway the home grown hero scenario would have worked. I was pretty much resigned to the fact he would never get a ring as long as he stayed there.

This would be funny if Earvin hadn't already signed a 25yr contraact with LA. Or MJ didn't sign a 8yr deal with Chicago in 1988. or if Bird was healthy after 1989 considering there was no free agency in the NBA until the summer of 1989.

Just another failed attempt at humor by a dumbass who doesn't know basketball.

That's the point, though. If he got there with scrubs, you think better players wouldn't want to go play with the best player in the game and get him over the hump and win rings? Even in Cleveland?

He took a shorter path, so he'll never be the legend he might have been. (But I don't think that was very important to him at the time.)

I'm convinced people have some sort of irrational notion that trying to improve your position in life is a no no. The misbegotten theory of rugged individualism has always been a myth. No one wins or accomplishes anything great alone.

People who have never accomplished anythimg find it easier to hate rsther than apreciate beczue they do not know the sacrifice it takes.

ok Shane. believe it or not i DO respect you, dawg. but seriously, how many times have you seen me say(type) that i KNOW Kobe would never be a man-of-the-year candidate? does this stuff go in one ear and out the other? i ALSO know Jordan was an asshole. but guess what? in BOTH their cases they let their GAME do the talking. and when all's said and done, that where it should be, their GAME. if the guy might've kept his idiot MOUTH shut he could possibly have not been such crap in my view...

Both of them say a ton of stuff off the court, especially mj, even more so as a gm which is remarkably unprofessional. You probably just not remember the quotes. Also nobody has been scrutinized and followed like lbj ever period. Not even close. Lets follow every nba player since they afe 16 and see what stupid remzrks come out.

Nobody said you have to like him. It's just funny to see the reasons why a 60yr old man like CL doesn't like him. Then turn around and root for Kobe and Artest who one is an arrogant ego manic and the other is just a maniac.

It's the complete hypocrisy by CL that makes it so hilarious. He cries about a show that raised for millions of dollars for charity but roots for a guy who's show was spent apologizing to his wife for being caught cheating on her. What did that raise other than a jewler cashing in the 5mil dollar diamond ring he bought to get her "love back?"

It was already proven no better players wanted to come to Cleveland. Lebron tried to get Bosh there before he decided to leave himself. Whats more asinine? Continue to have faith Cleveland would get someone there after 7 years of not doing it or moving on to further his career? If someone kept promising you help doing your job and brought in people that could not get it done would you stay if you had a better offer somewhere else? I thought so.

Nope. No chance in hell. Name for me every great FA in NBA history that was in their prime that even CONSIDERED playing for Cleveland.

That place will NEVER be a place anyone wants to go. Same thing happened with Vince Carter in Toronto, and toronto is a million times better a city to live in than Cleveland.

You can't name a top rated player in ANY sport that's willingly signed with a team in Cleveland.

That's just wishful thinking from people that don't like the Decision. But make no mistakes, NOBODY was EVER going to play with him in Cleveland that they didn't draft.

It's one thing going to a different team to try and win a ring. However, it's another thing to get 3 top 10 players in the league all in their prime and make a secret pack to join forces...

...That's cowardly. And that's why no one respects what Lebron did. Like I've always said, any top player in the league can win a ring with Miami's stacked team...

However till Lebron wins a ring without Wade, Bosh, and Ray Allen I'm not impressed. Nor is anyone else. Sorry but that's the truth.

Peace
