Well the trades continue on this crazy path . I will miss Rondo. The overhaul of the championship era is over. It started with doc rivers 18 months ago, and now, 7 trades later it's a roster that is all Brad Stevens direction.

The Lakers have a 25 yr wait list for season tickets. Jack Nicholson could trade his seats for part ownership of the Celtics.

I don't think Laker fans are seeing that Boston is a few years ahead of LA on the rebuild. You will need to experience the pain so buckle in for the times ahead.

I guess I need some new glasses, because I fail to see how trading the Celtics best player and two other young players for a draft pick from a team that will a playoff team - can help them. The direction I am taking is that a team in the top 8 in the seeding get the worst draft picks and seldom gets a player worth giving up a Rajon Rondo player who could easily have ben good for two or three first round draft picks. Seems like to me Danny went outside to pick cherries so he could make a cherry pie and came back with chicken poop from the chickens.

But I am quite happy at this move - the Lakers are now even another year year ahead of Boston in rebuilding

im in the middle on this. not going to say boston is better or worse..maybe Branden wright develops into Deandre Jordan who knows. on the lakers end im optimistic but I think poor decisions have been made. draft picks appear to be worthless to the franchise..look at all the trades over the years..gave up 1st rounder for ramon sessions. didn't pan out. id say half of their current problems are from not having and young talent to develop. hurt this year with randle injury but the next best thing is what ryan Kelly?

Randle will be a nice player but he is only one. I tell u what, in about two years the free agent market will drive salaries through the roof as many crappy teams freeing cap space become able to bid crazy amounts.

The only way this makes sense is if Boston doesn't think Rondo intends to resign and he may have already told them privately to get what they can which then makes sense for Rondo because Rondo is going to make Dallas a better team and if it doesn't work out - then he's a free agent in July any way. For Boston, they basically got back scrubs and possibly a 1st round draft pick, but let's get real

If you are a team in the top four in the standings, your first round draft pick isn't going to be worth much any way and this is where these teams continue to go the wrong direction. They are getting excited over draft picks that seldom are good enough to make it in the NBA to begin with.

TLF u might want to research where the centerpiece of this deal was picked in that draft

Some teams draft well some don't

Don't really matter because the Lakers have none left to offer and Dallas obviously don't, but here is the thing as I said already:

If Dallas moves up in the standings from 6th to 4th seed, the pick they give to Boston won't be a quality pick regardless of how well the team drafts. The teams in the top of the standings don't get the best picks, they get worst that don't work out as well. Trading Rondo to team with better picks like Arizona would have been much better for Boston. Arizona is loaded up and wanting to trade and would have gladly gambled on Rondo. For Dallas - that was one sweet deal

We never used to use our first rounders because those picks were going to be late picks and those players would have never got PT with the players we had. And, it's not that Sessions didn't work out, we upgraded with Nash.
