There's a lot that went wrong but come on .. who does that ? Up by 4 in the 4th in the red zone with 4 yards to go in horrible conditions ? Who does that ? How is that possibly a good idea ?

I said bad decision at the time. When I call for more gambles I have to live by it. I do not have to live with what I think is bad coaching. My last post states that all three need to go.

To answer your question. Bad coaches go for it in that moment. I screamed for Schwartz to be fired last year. These are the reasons.

Ok I need to point this out.. The Tackles were good, the ends are absolute trash.. I mean the DEs, they are trash without Ansah and Jones.. Probably the worst set in the league and up there with the secondary...

I don't blame the WRs. It was raining pretty good and Stafford does not throw an easy ball. Bad coaching from the end of the 2 qtr took a game we should have won handily and made it winnable for our opponent.

Defense also should have been able to contain this team much better. How the fuck do you not cover Brown. I also cant take these guys playing 10 yards off and then not making tackles on completions underneath. The scheme is bad and the CBs are average. Not a good combination.

If you go back earlier in the thread, I brought that up when it happened.. Especially since their previous TD was a 1 yard run.. Bell was killing them..

They were inside 20 seconds. If they don't score with the run they might not have had time for another play after a spike ... except for a FG attempt. It takes awhile to get everyone unpiled and lined up to spike it. By throwing the ball they got 3 shots at it. At least lining someone up in the backfield to give them something to think about might have been a good idea.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I dont have a problem saying when the team or players suck balls and I also dont have a problem talking about how great a player or unit is doing. Unfortunately more often than not the lions are not doing well and therefore I become the "negative" guy on here.

It wasn't much more than an extra point. Look up how many he's missed from that close in his career and get back to me.

Look how many field goals akers has missed in the past two years in great weather conditions and get back to me. Many things could have went wrong on that field goal attempt in those conditions besides akers missing the kick. Everyone has been wanting schwartz to be more aggressive and when he is, his guy fumbles the ball on a well schemed play. Nothing he could do about that.

Definitely not perfect. No arguement there. But that doesnt make them a bad team like some people say they are.

And it definitely doesnt make them a super bowl contender like one person thinks they are.
