Top 10 for the entire season or after Snacks came over in a trade. Those last 4-5 games of the year weren't against quality competition if my memory serves correctly (probably doesn't because it's Marley time starting Thanksgiving and throughout the remainder of the year)

as usual I was wrong as they did finish exactly at 10th best defense in total yards given up last year.

Right. So what happened? I know the first 8 games were supposed to be a nightmare schedule but that’s still a hell of a drop off.

Ricky was sweet last season. Definitely produced more than was expected. His play earned an extension, but didn't get one.

RJF didnt get a dedicated locker like Andre did. Andre's locker was converted into an equipment closet. Cant blame the guy for leaving.

Right. So what happened? I know the first 8 games were supposed to be a nightmare schedule but that’s still a hell of a drop off.

#1. Health/Injuries of DL...………..Daniels, Hand.. Snacks lacking % of snaps 2 games & out of shape

#2. Lack of quality depth behind Starters (DL lack of quality depth is more in line with Not having experience, ie. Atkins & Strong).

#3. Asking our LB corps to do things they aren't good at, Coverage.

#4. Poor scheme when injuries have hampered DL and DB

#5. Slay missing 2 games and parts of 2 other games.

#6. Diggs being injured and expecting 2 rookies to equal his talent level from previous two seasons once he transitioned to S.

I want to see some 5-man fronts this weekend that consistently pressure Trubisky or even Daniels into making mistakes. Trubisky's confidence has been shaken and the more pressure applied the more rattled he gets and loses what ability he has left to process the field.

I'd also like more 6 DB looks with the one exception of having JRM as the chase LB. Disguise a CB or S for coverage and send them on blitzes. This team has nothing to lose by trying something else.

I'm surprised Hock hasn't been used more; he seemed like quite the weapon in the preseason game vs the Bills that I watched. Of course, that's preseason, but it was early when the important players were still playing.
