Green Bay and Chicago were division games. So automatically a tough game.
Patriots are currently the first team out of the AFC playoffs, but their 3 division rivals are all in. Still definitely in the hunt.
Seahawks are currently the first team out of the NFC playoffs. But still definitely in the hunt.
Philly, Washington, Vikings, Bills, Dolphins, Giants, Cowboys are all currently in the playoffs if season ended today.

That's a hell of a schedule to open the season. All but 4 of our games have been close one score games, and 2 of the games that weren't close we were the ones blowing them out. The record may not currently reflect it, but coming from where we've been, I think we can already consider this season a success. Now with 4 of our last 6 games we should probably be favored, and all 6 are definitely winnable games. I know my schedule is getting busy with end of year work loads increasing and finding time to do family Christmas stuff with everybody, I may not see many more games this year. But this could be the best stretch of football in Detroit for years and years. Let's all try to enjoy it abit.

(I was feeling a bit reflective today. Sorry we can carry on as you were. )

Even more proof and not just from this last game, but Holmes needs to address starting RG and a swing OT in this upcoming draft if he wants the offense to reach its potential.

The first half ended with this tally:

Awosika – 3 plusses, 7 minuses

Skipper – 3 plusses, 6 minuses

The final tally, with both players on the field for all 71 offensive snaps:

Skipper – 7 plusses, 13 minuses. The run/pass splits: 5/3 in the run, 2/10 in pass protection

Awosika – 6 plusses, 15 minuses. The run/pass split was 2/7 in the run and 4/8 in pass pro
Skipper whiffed on a block on one play. Other than that he was not as bad as the numbers suggest. Awosika was pretty bad but he is still raw.

Okay.

I must've watched this particular game on a different channel.

I wish no ill will towards any NFL player that sustains any type of injury, however Matthew Stafford was placed on IR. Maybe the Rams continue their losing ways and keep us in the hunt for a top 3 overall draft pick.

This is good from one perspective; it gives Holmes the preemptive look of what it'll be like to draft Jayden Daniels - even though the latter is physically somewhat smaller.

From P.O.D.
With excellent speed and elite athleticism, Dobbs can—at the very least—give Detroit a nice scout team mobile quarterback who can prepare them for remaining games against mobile quarterbacks, like their Week 17 matchup against Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears.

As of this publishing, the Lions have not yet confirmed the signing, but Dobbs did officially visit the team late last week.

look at the stats from opposing quarterbacks over the past five weeks:

105-of-183 (57.4%), 1,223 yards (6.7 Y/A), 7 TDs, 7 INTs, 74.9 passer rating

Here’s where those stats rank in the NFL from Weeks 9 to Week 13:

  • 57.4% completions — 1st
  • 74.9 passer rating — 2nd
  • 7 INTs - 1st
They’ve also tallied exactly half (11) of their season total sacks (22) in just these five games.

Put it all together, and according to Football Outsiders, the Lions' pass defense has been the third-best in the NFL since Week 9. Yes, you read that right: the Lions have the third-best pass defense in the NFL over the past five games.

And let’s not forget that they’ve faced some good quarterbacks over that time. Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen may not be playing their best ball right now, but they’re always dangerous. Daniel Jones went into the Lions game with just two interceptions on the season

We all know how good or even great the addition of AR-SB gas been to this team but reading in print where he stands among other WR is truly amazing.

Maybe there's a Romeo sighting this coming week versus the Vikings. I would think DC/AG will ease him into action slowly similar to Paschal when he was ready to play - 10-15 snaps.

“We just wanted to give (Romeo) just a little bit more time,” Campbell told reporters. “He’s close, but yeah, we wanted to see how he was. He had a pretty good load last week, let him wake up Sunday morning, how did he feel, all that, and now, here we go. Let’s see where he’s at Wednesday.”

Okwara tore his Achilles in Week 4 of the 2021 season and has not played since. He kept his recovery and workout regimen largely private.

After reading this article regarding Jameson Williams and slowly acclimating him into the games might one believe that Jamo is turned loose more so when the Lions play on grass fields those last three games of the season - Panthers, Bears and Packers - versus field turf at home and at the Jets

But with five games still left on the schedule, Campbell revealed that Williams’ role is going to increase starting with this week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

“Moving forward, it’ll be, ‘Okay, we’ll get him a little more involved now,’” Campbell said. “So we’ll have some things for him. He’ll play more than he did last week, but, there again, let’s slowly start to implement him into what we’re doing and let’s see how he handles everything.”

I guess AB really was the problem

He eyeballs ARSB too much though. Needs to find others more often or defenses will adjust. Surprised they just dont double him and blitz. That would shut down our entire passing game.

Or maybe benching Oruwariye and getting Jacobs back onto the field. IDK what the complete answer is though.
