I sure as heck hope they eat all the dead cap this year on all released players and not designate anyone as a post June 1st.

Get it over with all in one year.

Clean sweep on all these FA contracts. Either restructure or bye bye. Flowers is the next one that needs to be updated. Also, Hellapudgy Fatguy is not a starting NFL OT and should not be paid like one. Unfortunately we are stuck with him most likey.

In his defense, he injured his foot 3rd week in camp and never recovered. IDK if it was a lisfranc injury or not.

He isn't good either way so, I'd imagine they'll cut bait next year 4.2M dead money & 4.2M cap relief in 2022.

He's probably why they're looking at OT & OG during draft prep/Pro Days this year.

Detroit Lions sign former Saints TE Josh Hill - Pride Of Detroit
No contract details as of yet. 6' 5" 230 lbs. Not a real threat catching the ball.

Last season, Hill’s run blocking per PFF was 72.3, fifth among tight ends who played 50 percent of the average tight end snaps—Hockenson’s grade of 70.9, placed him eighth—and he was a vital part of the Saints schematic game plan.

He is a nice add. Better blocker and receiver then James and definitely a Campbell type guy. I really like what these new guys are doing.

I am not a huge fan, pending contract details. I would rather have run with the young guys we have and see if any stand out. Thedford is supposed to be a good blocker, but any chance we had of finding out what he had is gone now.

I won’t be mad if we see three TE’s with Hock split out on the opposite side to TyWilliams and just Swift in the backfield.

You double team one and we have a great mismatch elsewhere.

I kinda think we might see a fourth first round TE in the last 12 years. And I also wouldn’t be mad at that either.

I think it’s a valid option.

We will carry more then 2 TEs on the active roster. Bryant will be Hocks backup and maybe Thedford will be Hill's. Hill is a good all around TE. Just ask Drew Brees what he thought of him.

This will give Thedford a year to get acclimated as I do not believe he has any game time action and if he does have any it would be limited.

I see your point though.

I'm also seeing the possibility.

BB_72: Golladay is going to be greatly disappointed when he doesn't sniff the alleged 18-19M he was offered by the Lions last year. jmo.

Ravens should be a possibility but Idk their cap space availability. He'd be a plus for Lamar with Hollywood Brown underneath.

NFL free agency: Julian Okwara reacts to brother’s free agency contract: ‘Let’s take over’ - Pride Of Detroit

Naturally, Julian was thrilled for his brother, not only because his family that just made a huge professional accomplishment, but because the two will be working alongside each other in 2021 and hopefully beyond.

“From undrafted to one of the best DE’s in the league,” Julian tweeted on Monday afternoon. “Preciate you for showing me the ropes, now let’s take over! @RomeoND45”
