Broncos add rookie TE Dan Light, waive WR Solomon Patton 

Broncos acquire another TE in Dan Light - sounds like a good project. So far - based on late roster acquisitions - the Broncos seem more nervous about the TE situation ( 2 players) than they are about the Oline (1 player).

Elway is digging deep under the pile looking for TE he wants .. He loves TE's you can tell it is something that is eating at him he wants to find something special at the TE position this is wanting to Develop . we have went looking in some strange places last year ..I think Miami ?looking at College basket ball players ..

I wouldn't mind spending a high round pick on a guy next year. Daniels is just a stop gap type player in my opinion and Green while showing better promise as a receiver will I think always be more of a blocker than receiver. This is a little of why I was hoping in the 2nd round we would have went after Maxx Williams. I think he is still only 20 years old but showed some great promise moving forward as a blocker and pass catcher. Anyway this next draft class in my opinion looks a little more promising at the TE position. One guy to keep an eye on is Bucky Hodges. He has ridiculous athleticism for a TE and is improving as a blocker.

At this point it's great we took Ty Sam in the 2nd. We'd be really hurting at LT if we had gone for TE at that point.

I wasn't a fan (at all) of the Heuerman (sp) pick - but remember he will be back next year.

Wow yeah can't believe I forgot about Heuerman. With us not seeing him but a handful of days I guess easy to forget. He definitely has a chance to show something great. It was definitely my least favorite pick of our first four as a guy coming off a major foot injury that hadn't shown a ton is not usually a recipe for success. The Sambrailo pick is definitely looking better and better with each passing day. He is having to grow up faster than coaches had hoped but I think he has done well answering the call. Throw in if he can show pretty well this year that saves the team about $9 million for next season with Clady becoming expendable. Getting ahead of myself here but this rookie class looks like it will contribute more than any other Elway draft since his first one when the team was so void of talent that rookies had to play.

I'm guessing the Broncos don't really like what they see in Jensen and Jones, by bringing in Light and Murphy - while is Heuerman waiting in the wings. They may even think Owen Daniels is not a good bet to survive the season physically.

this is looking for lighting in a bottle IMO Elway likes turning over rocks and finding gold with these TE ... He must think TE is kind of hard to judge so bring in AMAP to find the right guy to to let our OL Coach them up that is his calling card

Yeah I think he ( Elway ) is still looking for his `ol buddy Sharpe out there. I think Heuerman might just end up a real steal. Was really disappointed after all praise about him and him going down. Really would of liked to see him on the field this yr. Buckeyes have put out some good Te`s in past I believe.

Given what we left on the board there instead of Heuerman, he damn sure better be a REAL steal.
