Anyone see or hear Phillip Rivers’ recent quote about Melvin Gordon?

“We Love Melvin Gordon, but our running backs group is deep”

Ben would have been crucified for saying that during the Lev Bell holdouts.

This guy complained that people were too hard on him and he wasn't appreciated so he goes to New York, the hardest town on athletes this side of Philly?

Well no one ever said the guy was smart.

Worked in both cities.

In NY...it's the unrelenting media that will kill you.

In Philly...it's the unrelenting fans that will kill you.

I think everyone knows that the Jets are not a good fit for Bell, young QB, no legit WR1 (or WR2), Robby Anderson is a 3 on a good team, HC on record saying he didn't want Bell (how to you back track from that?).

But it was the only offer he had. Not only is Bell not all that bright, his agent is not all that bright either.

Any bets on this being Bell's choice? Dude is over a year out of football shape and they aren't ready to let him play in the preseason? New York media will have fun with this one.

Bell sticking to this bullshit story about the Steelers under-appreciating him, by conveniently omitting the fact that they offered him MORE money than the Jets did. Hard facts.

For those of you that haven't heard... Story got leaked today that the Jets were actively trying to trade Le'Veon before the deadline today. lol.

Don't know if there is any truth to it yet, but damn what a dumpster fire this has turned out for Lev. If true, then it's all but assured the Jets are going to be saddled with him (because nobody is dumb enough to take on that contract) until after 2020 when the potential out in his contract can be taken. That would forfeit an additional $20m if I'm not mistaken... Taking his grand total of losses from the Steelers debacle up to $40m.

Bell is now saying that the Jets were talking trade with the Steelers. Seems a little far-fetched to me.
