Latavius? I'm for that. Looking at the 2019 free agent RBs, Mark Ingram from New Orleans and C.J Anderson who got signed by Carolina come to mind as good targets. I know he's old, but Frank Gore would be a decent addition and would be a great learning tool for James Conner. Another guy that would be a cheap pickup would be Tevin Coleman from Atlanta.

I wouldn't mind a Frank Gore, as a mentor/backup next year if he wants to continue chasing a ring...but my focus would be on Tevin Coleman. IDK about cheap but cheaper for certain (thinking he will have several suitors, but considerably less than the tag Bell is playing under...probably $3.5 to $4 mil per).

He could make a great tandem with Connor. Not the ideal ZBS runner, lacks patience, but has that burst and an extra take it to the house type gear.

Yeah, hindsight. Steelers thought they still had a chance on a deal though, so didn't do it.

I think once they tagged him they were committed to keeping him unless someone came to them...while I think the FO is always looking ahead, they recognize that SB window is closing fast so giving Ben the best weapons they could for this season were probably high priorities.

But...I'm like you and most Steeler fans...really, really tired of this contract situation with Bell and ready to move on already.
