Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Giants have traded Trevor Rosenthal to the Brewers.

Rosenthal just signed a one-year, $4.5 million contract with San Francisco on July 21, but he is currently nursing a hamstring strain and probably won't be ready to pitch for anyone until a few more weeks of rest and rehab. The hard-throwing right-hander will aim to be weapon in high-leverage relief down the stretch for the NL Central-leading Brewers.

Mariners acquired INF Jake Lamb from the Dodgers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Baa. Lamb will slot into a righty-mashing bench role for the Mariners over the final two months of the regular season. The 31-year-old slugger has played sparingly for the Dodgers of late, hitting .239/.338/.433 with two homers and four RBI in 77 plate appearances.

Orioles acquired OF Brett Phillips from the Rays for cash considerations.

Phillips was designated for assignment by Tampa Bay on Monday to clear out a roster spot for new trade acquisition Jose Siri. He's not much of a hitter, but the 28-year-old offers good outfield defense and high energy.

on Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Tigers have traded Michael Fulmer to the Twins.

Sawyer Gipson-Long, a right-handed pitching prospect, will head to Detroit in return. Fulmer boasts a 3.06 ERA and 112 strikeouts over his last 109 innings dating back to the beginning of the 2021 season. He's a versatile bullpen arm for the AL Central leaders.

Jordan Montgomery has been traded to the Cardinals for Harrison Bader, per Ken Rosenthal and Lindsey Adler of The Athletic.

It's a trade that works well for both parties, with the Yankees needing better outfield defense and the Cardinals on a steady pre-deadline hunt for reliable starting pitchers. More to come.
