You mean as opposed to guys who are injury prone, old, and could hardly play 30 minutes a game even if they wanted to?

Heck, why not get Jordan, Kobe and Kareem out of retirement while he's at it?

Theres a better chance of getting a championship with Melo, Paul, a nice playmaker and some experienced sharpshooters than there is playing with a bunch of inexperienced teenagers .

Even if Wade plays limited minutes or even comes off the bench, hes an experienced smart player who can score nicely in spurts.

If Lebron wanted to play with a Bunch of inexperienced young kids, he can go to any D-league TRASH team in the NBA. Hes not doing that though. If hes going to LA, its gonna be a new superteam of experienced Vets

The Lakers tried the win-now approach. It didn't work. Remember what happened to Steve Nash and Dwight?

I think literally EVERY Lakers fan is happy with the young guys they have.

Then he can play for the Clippers, not the Lakers.

I dont know about that.. lakers fans are't used to being bottom of the barrel are they? They have owned the NBA for the most part for the last 17 years. (Until the last few) Its an instant gratification society we will live in now.

If they want to be instant contenders to the titles the next few years and not contenders for another 5-10 years? Im sure other teams want their piece of "superteam" action if they can.

Lakers fans don't expect mediocrity either because of their long standing track record of great teams and titles . They want results now. Im sure there is gonna be pressure on the Lakers FO to make it happen

If Lebron goes to the Lakers (which he won't), they aren't bringing in Melo and D-Wade. That would be stupid. Wade is too old and misses too many games and Melo is not only overrated, he's over the hill.

Wade getting old is part of the reason Lebron left Miami in the first place and Melo is an iso ball player who wouldn't fit in the Lakers system.

The Lakers would have a much better shot at being the next super team if they add Lebron and PG-13 to what they already have, minus Russell, who would be the likely odd man out.

So risk everything for two years (at best) only to be at the bottom again by 2020?

Any guarantee the Lakers will even be contenders in 5-10 years? I dont see any fanbase that would ultimately reject a SUPERTEAM if they are handed one especially if they spent the last few years enjoying 20-30 win seasons.

It's like the OP thinks to himself..."Ya know, I haven't posted anything stupid in like 5 whole minutes. I better get busy."

I'm sure soon enough he'll be introduced to the Fouled Out section.

And lets not forget,, Chris Paul will be floating around out there.

CP3, Lebron, Melo, George or 3 of the 4?? And the 3 point Sharpshooters Lebron brings in.. How is that NOT a championship team?

Ok.. Lets reject the Lebron SuperTeam and potential multiple 'ships and stick with the teenagers. We'll see how well the lakers continue to do.:scratch::scratch::scratch::scratch:

Maybe they can win 30 games next year..

No... But what logic is there in rejecting a superteam if you're a fan? Thats my question. For MAYBE being contenders 8-10 years down the line?

Well, leading up to 2009 the buzz was about the Knicks. We know how that played out.

Besides, at least half the Laker fans on here don't even want LeBron their team. At least they say that now.

and i'll KEEP saying. not only do i dislike the s.o.b., but who needs the Kobe tour all over again...?

so no, KEEP him away from my team...
