That was what I was thinking as well. He may be able to get time as the #3, but there are a few other younger guys I'd rather give those reps to if at all possible.

It is not like he is a old man, only a couple of years older than both Harris & Williams who is a 24 yr old rookie. All I know is Laurant caught TD''s when he was here especially in the redzone when Romo got outside the pocket, and any Cowboy fan know the struggles this team has scoring TD's in the redzone

He was a target for Romo when Dez couldn't run a right route to save his life. The way Dez and Tony started clicking in the 2nd half of 2012 I don't think Laurent would get nearly half the opportunities.

Let me say I wouldn't be upset if he were brought into camp, and I wouldn't be upset if he weren't brought in. I can see positives to both

he has had a series of concussions that kept him out of football. Why risk losing a player on the back end for a guy that may never play. The team he was on cut him even though he had a 5 yr 32 mil contract.
His career may be over.

It would be a flier, the roster is @ 90 right now, with 3 spots open and he is cleared to play

Cowboys are loaded at all three ball handling positions with 4 rookies taken and more rookie FAs added to the preseason roster. Our team is top heavy(and) has incredible depth. Williams will get some reps and we have no need for any castoffs.

Robinson did have chemistry with Romo, but as loaded as we are at WR/TE, if the Cowboys decide to spend any of the little cap space they have, I'd prefer an OL like Brandon Moore

Bay, I am more excited about what we have then don't have at the moment. I love Miles and Dez and the rest of the guys will be able to get reps and if anybody wants to step up with the competition then please do so

Agree, No reason to waste cap space on WR.

OL should be our concern. Not WR. Look for possibly Danny Coale to step up this preseason. He was rookie last year but got hurt early in camp and never got that shot. The staff likes him and would be a good #3. (4.3-4.4 speed, great route runner, great hands, and he will block)

Coale may be cut but if he is some team wil pick him up. The potential is there, so if we are cutting a decent WR anyway why throw precious cap space at another WR? I agree Laurent had a nice season in Dallas but WR is not a posistion of need. Let Dallas try to find a OLman or a better S to start.

The offense will be fine as long as the line does their job...

Beasley is ahead because Coale was injured all of last year. I think he beats out Beasley.

Dallas is cap straped. At the moment every available penny is important. What happen is we have a few injuries and need to sign a player or two in the season?
