Should be Drake.

That is criminally late in the draft for a RB with a real shot at top 15 RB scorer if he stays healthy. The people who were dumb enough to buy the hype that he would be good in Vegas despite having Jacobs in front of him have people souring on him. Simple fact was that he never was going to get enough touches last year to justify drafting too early.

This year is different. Miami will give him 1st crack at the majority of the touches with Michaels in there to bang in the red zone. The only reason he doesnt get over 1000 yards rushing plus receiving will be injury.

Biggest issue being, Drake is still in Vegas, Jacobs is still in front of him..and that he sucks, outside of running off of Kyler Murray's RPO

Yeah I got Drake and Edmonds confused. Edmonds in Miami was the guy I was thinking about!

Top 15 is exaggerated but he will get a lot more touches in McDaniels system and behind Jacobs. Really a perfect fit but the problem is, even when healthy Drake really just isn’t that good. If he falls he definitely worth the shot off potential touches as a receiving option. As a runner he is less than special so I dont see a ceiling of top 15. If he can’t produce or get touches in his system he is a lost cause. Still one of the best from those options

that's kinda what I had figured, assuming Michaels was secret code for Michel... :)

Edmonds is a tough cookie. flashes some real playmaking ability as a role player, is always like spinning tires in the mud as a true RB. I would peg Michel to get the lions share of meaningful carries (red zone/goalline/early downs) with Mostert getting plenty of play too seeing as the coaching staff is primarily SF carryovers, and when both of them go down to injury, it'll be Gaskins filling that role primarily with some Ahmed..leaving Edmonds in his best role, a sometimes flashy role player/third down specialist.

Should the phins find themselves using Edmonds as the primary back, something went horribly wrong

Was thinking the same thing yet I still wasted my time with a long paragraph explanation lol

Speaking of crowded backfields...that brings D'Ernest Johnson into the discussion.

While Felton isn't an option as RB, more for a slot WR will very seldom playing time...Johnson is really hoping for 1 of 3 things:

1. injuries
2. the Browns start blowing out opponents
3. Hunt traded

Hunt is likely gone next season so Johnson could be useful next season, if he is even back with the team. I think for next season it would be Hunt or Johnson staying but I could be wrong with the Browns drafting Ford.

Ford pick was a surprise for me, Felton is a gadget guy - really have to have the right coach and personnel for those types to get production or even playing time. I don't see Johnson getting any significant run on sundays unless Chubb misses some time.
