What are the chances that the Raiders move to Las Vegas? And if they are, will it be in 2017?
A San Diego City councilman has already said he would contact the Raiders to see if they would consider San Diego, and a recent poll shows many fans would adopt the previously hated team if San Diego is in front of their name
Agree 100%. This past Thursday or Friday it was mentioned the NFL said the Raiders can move without Sandy Alderson being involved, taking out any gaming connections. The land is there, the financing is there, and the stadium plan is there. The last hurdle is the Owners and a few big dog owners support the move. The only thing that would stop the Raiders from going to Vegas, is when the owners vote. Everything else is a done deal.
Hmmm they can't play at UNLV while the stadium gets built? So with it being official that the Raiders are going to file papers to move to Vegas I guess I just have one question...Does this hurt them over the next 2 years as they continue to play in Oakland for fan attendance? From what I understand they have decided to stay in Oakland until the stadium is ready. With fans knowing they are moving are they less likely to want to go to games?

This sucks for the Raider faithful. But I think it's great for everyone else. More opposing fans will visit. Those Raider fans from outside the bay area will likely make a trip or two now. Vegas wins. Davis wins.
Damn I thought UNLV held more than 40k? That is a big difference the Collesium holds 63k.Well I've read that they have decided to stay for 2 more years. They figure more seats available type thing.

St Louis and San Diego moved and kept their names. Of course both were LA in the past. The Ravens name was more about Cleveland suing for the name, basically told Modell he could move his team but the BROWNS were staying. Tennessee changed because "Oilers" had nothing to do with the state or city. There is no rule stating names cant move.I thought I remember something about a rule the NFL put in place that said a team can move to another city but they can't take the team name with them. Which is why Tennessee is the Titans and not the Oilers. I think it stemmed from Baltimore forever losing the Colts and LA losing the Rams for so many years. Would the Raiders move if they have to give up the Raider name?
Sam Boyd holds 40,000 but parking and the roads to get there are nightmares.Damn I thought UNLV held more than 40k? That is a big difference the Collesium holds 63k.
Now that would be to funny. To see the Chargers move to LA and the Raiders to SD.
