Superbowl and Prowbowl = yes

AFC and NFC champ games = no

Home field is too big of deal for playoff teams and they fight all year to make sure they earn it. I don't see any scenario where the league would ever mess with that.

Agree, but if the NFL built the stadium they may want to do all they could to get ad much $$$$$$ as possible out of it. Now if the Raiders call Vegas home the yearly SB is no longer on the table.

I think the NFL likes that the Super Bowl moves around. Helps them to continue to grow the fanbase by moving it from city to city. Also a very nice moneymaker for whatever city hosts it

According to what I read, the Sands Casino wants to build this stadium even if they don't get an NFL team. Their feeling is that they would find enough other events to make money from it even without the NFL. When you think about it the NFL really only provides about 10 days worth of entertainment at any given stadium. A couple more if you are lucky enough to make the playoffs, but overall football games only amount to about 3% of the calendar for any stadium.

Can you imagine how great a Superbowl in Las Vegas would be? Superbowl week on the Las Vegas Strip, are you kidding me?!? That would be insanity. It would be so much fun.

There are rumblings. Vegas mayor tells espn radio "the raiders will come if nevada handles this right"
The Raiders would be a good fit in Las Vegas.

I am so glad that I am a fan of a publicly owned team so I don't have to suffer through this bullshit

I feel for all the fans whose teams "abandoned" them

It's the gambling angle, but for some reason he doesn't mention the gambling right in the stadiums in London and Mexico.
I don't think the NFL is too concerned with gambling considering how hard they're hawking Fan Duel and Draft Kings.

I don't think you'll ever have to worry about the land in Green Bay being scarce and ridiculously expensive like it is in the bay area in California.

You just can't buy tickets, right? Or are you lucky enough to have season tickets?

Unless you go to the games, what difference does it make what city the team plays in? I've been a Rams fan since the superbowl vs Pitt and I live in Western NY. The move to St Louis and back didn't impact me much other than getting used to saying the correct city.

The Bills moving from Buffalo however would affect me a great deal.

Not everytime though is it the team abandoning the fans. Sometimes the fans make it very clear that they couldn't care less whether the team stays or goes.

Goodell has flat out stated he's anti Vegas because of its gambling. He nixed Romo's Fantasy Football camp because it was at the Sands convention center, and it's ties to a casino. Problem is the Convention Center has no casino or gambling on its premises.

I don't like this proposed move to Las Vegas.

Too close to gambling interests and way too distracting for newly minted 20 year old millionaires.

Its gonna be ugly.

The league may not allow the move, so here goes Davis v. NFL II.

Hey I am fine if the Raiders players are distracted in Vegas. So I say let it happen.
