Am told a 4 year deal. I hope it is accurate.
Keeping Lane and Rubin were the most important to the team IMO.

i am happy with that contract. Great value IMO.As just announced on 710: 4 years, $23M, $11M guaranteed.
Is there anyone else that has a moment of panic with these thread titles thinking the player quit the team? I'm confused for a minute every time I see 'resigned'.
New to the forum. Great move.
$3M cap hit year 1, 5M cap hit year 2, $7M years 3/4.
We basically only eat $2M by cutting him in year 3. Basically it's a 2 year prove it deal since $3M and $5M aren't breaking the bank. Might as well be a 2 year $10M deal which is solid. I'm counting dead cap in year 3 which is taken in year 3 (thus providing a further benefit) if released.
Basically if he can't stay on the field or isn't deserving of nickel/#2 money by the end of year 2, we cut him. Not bad. He's definitely on board for 2 years though since cutting him year 1/2 without a trade partner is impossible due to dead cap.
Grading it a C+/B-. It'd be a B+/A- money wise for a nickel corner but have to knock off a grade due to the injury concerns over his career. If Lane moves into the #2 slot and fills it well and stays healthy it's an instant A.
Thanks! One of my fav gifs. lolMay be new, but your avatar game is on point.
If your skin isn't thin make that thing known in the NFL general board! They'll love it there.
You might see a lot of use with this:

Yeah, not too bad. It seems like the majority of the signings, are really 2 years. Kearse's cap hit takes a jump in the third year as well. Hmm...Close. Here are the actual details:

So if he continues to have injury issues (or under performs) it will essentially become a two year deal and he will be gone in the third year with a $2.5 million cap hit.
A good cap number for this year. A decent cap number for next year. After that it could be a too high number but releasing him if that is the case is a non-painful option.
Let's hope that he performs to expectations and avoids injury!
