Same old same old for me. Hoping the Celtics get outta this funk they've been in. Good to see you around again.
thanks That 40 point blowout of GS with Curry was nice last night. I know what you mean when they lose to the scrubs and beat the better teams, don't play to the level of the competition!!

Exactly.

Injuries destroyed their season.

Well sure.. and the pick 6 and Johnson calling a pass play with an empty backfield on 3rd & 1 in the red zone which lead to a fumble after they'd been running it down their throats. I also have a longer list.. lol I'm not quite over it.

Yesterday's game was the first one I've missed this season. Won't happen again. Unless they play the Nuggets and it's not nationally televised.

Some Lions fans expressing the opinion he sabotaged them by calling a bad game because he wanted the Bears job and didn't want to wait another week.....LOL.

Lol no. He calls a couple of wtf plays every game. The option play where Jamo had the option to pass and threw an interception was the other one Sunday. Williams is a great receiver and extremely fast but he has an IQ of roughly room temperature. You definitely do not want to put him in a position where he has to make a decision. Yet that was the play our, and now Chicago's, boy genius called. I honestly don't think the Lions will miss him all that much.

If Hill really wants out of Miami.....Baltimore would be smart to try and trade for him....he would be the #1 WR Jackson has lacked.....Flowers being hurt was bad but he isn't a true #1. More of a complimentary WR IMO.

Not sure of their cap situation though.

Monken (the Ravens OC) deserves some of the blame for the loss.

Allen didn't throw much and he is used to that weather. Henry only had like 15 or 16 carries? That weather favored running the ball....Henry should have been a workhorse.

No chance they take on that contract, especially considering they have a player with a similar skillset in Flowers

You think he's winning MVP this season??
Not sure but I think he should. I saw a lot of the Ravens games and the position has never been played better than the way Lamar played this season. Well until the playoffs but as we know this is a regular season award.

But I'm a big Allen fan as well and he'll probably win it but Lamar is right there.

Last season , Trey Flowers messed up and probably cost the Ravens the playoff game with that silly taunting penalty . This season, Andrews drops a pass he probably catches 98 times out of 100. I was one of those people saying Lamar just runs and can't pass accurately enough , back when he entered the league. I was horribly wrong. You'd be an idiot to move him. I love Stafford . I think he can still win a super bowl , but if you gave me Lamar instead , I'd be jumping for joy.

Running QB implies he cannot throw the ball. 66%, 245ypg, 8.8ypa (led the League), 41 TD's to just 4 INT's indicates he is much more than just a running QB. He might have started out in the NFL as a running QB but saying he is just that now? Is just plain disrespectful.
I'm not disagreeing with you - but a counter point:

Is a large portion of his ability to pass the ball tied in with the fear defenses have with his ability to run the ball? I mean, he almost ran for 1,000 yards (behind a 1900 yard rusher in Henry, which is insane). If LJ were more like the rest of the QB's, 2-300 yards a year, give or take - would he be able to rely just on his arm to win games AND...maybe as important - what happens when his legs go? Legs are one of the first things to go on athletes as knees/hips and athleticism usually peak in the mid-20's, and drop off exponentially around year 30 going forward.

I think it's at least fair to wonder how LJ will be able to react to that. Where maybe you see guys like Burrow, Herbert, Mahomes, etc...able to just rely on the occasional run, but head smarts, and arm ability that ages much better than legs - where will LJ be at 30, 31, 32 compared to some of the other QB's?

It will certainly be interesting to watch - but hell of a year for LJ - MVP year. Oddly - he'll end up with more MVP's this year than playoff wins...

He threw for over 4k yards....I think he will be just fine in his 30's....especially if they get him an elite #1 WR. Something he has never had since Flowers is a nice player but more suited to being a really good #2 WR.

I agree - but he also almost ran for 1,000 yards - you have to acknowledge that his dual ability likely ties in with his ability to be a upper tier passer (though this is the 1st year he's shown any kind of actual top tier passing ability).

I'm just saying - I think it's fair to wonder if that is sustainable year over year once his legs are no longer a threat - and that day is likely coming much sooner than not (at least historically speaking when looking at the age where RB's and other high athletic runners start to see a decline).

Maybe this is past year was the year he finally does break that through and he continues on next year and the year after...that remains to be seen - but I do think it's a fair question.
