Is it too early to ask who would the Sixers pick if they get the number one slot?
Ben Simmons, most likely. Haven't seen a lot of him, or much at all actually, but I've heard a ton about him and unless Skal Labissiere gets better throughout the season (he's STRUGGLED for UK so far), it'll probably be Simmons.

Well shit, someone had to do it I guess. lol

Sixers just got served notice that the Lakers intend to keep that top 3 pick.

76er's should have thrown the game. Hell, do everything in your power to end up with 2 of the first couple of picks

I believe the Lakers pick is protected if it's in the top 3. So Philly better hope the Lakers win some games the rest of the season.

Right, which is why the 76er's should have thrown the game. I meant to say 2 of the first few picks

We're talking about an organization that doesn't seem to get it. They won a game that potentially hurts them.

I was just joking. There's no way the players are going to throw the game. Plus with Kobe going 6-24 or whatever he shot how could they actually lose?

Good for the Sixers and the poor Lakers keep on getting worse.

This assumes that the players are OK with throwing games. Unless they are getting paid by mobsters, they're not.

So you are saying that unless they go 0-82 ... "the organization doesn't get it" ?

I know, but what are the Lakers going to do, tell Kobe to stop shooting the ball? They're in a tough spot. Kobe has announced his retirement at the end of the season & they really need the top pick. Almost as much as Philly.

This. I've liked to believe that some teams "tank" especially this year's Sixers but I've not yet seen a game where they haven't given a shit ton of effort only to lose. Doesn't seem like they're on board with the idea. Which I'm fine with.

Players don't throw the games. The coach does that sitting players and when that happens it's usually dictated from the top

Stealth tank job by the Lakers front office. Hire a shitty coach who will let the brokendown Kobe chuck away at his delight. This will result in a large pile of losses this season bettering their chance of keeping that pick.

And I don't blame them in the slightest.

No. My point was they beat a team that would be giving them their 1st round draft pick if they're outside the top three after the Lottery. To say that would be a nice pick to have is an understatement.

One victory over the Lakers is not going to change a lot by way of ping pong balls.

The Sixers and Lakers are by far and away the worst two teams in the NBA. There's not really much close for 3rd. The Pelicans are finally getting healthy and have looked much better. Even Brooklyn is playing much better after their horrid start. Sixers will likely finish last, and Lakers probably 2nd to last. The Sixers just have to hope that some other team bumps them from the top 3 when the lottery balls fall.
