I'm not all that excited about Boozer. I mean he can come off the bench and contribute, but we have a logjam of big men when that money could of been used elsewhere

Well this is more of a move, to take pressure of a young rookie Randle, in case he struggles at times. Boozer deal is not too bad, its only a 1 year deal at 3 million dollars for a guy who avg last season 14.6 points a game, and 8.1 reb a game.

Actually, I am warming up to the notion that we might be pretty darn good this year with the return of just about everyone from last year except for Gasol, Meeks, Kaman, Bazemore, and Farmar. I see us doing quite well under Byron Scott as I believe he will be the next head coach and we might even sneek into the 45 wins territory. Yikes! Yea I know. I am reaching here but I sense that the Lakers as now constructed may just surprise a few folks.

This morning on the Herd, Rick Fox was interviewed and the host got him to speculate on Kevin Love. Eventually the conversation included the speculation that the Lakers will put together a package deal to offer Minnesota for Love and it would probably include Randle and say Ed Davis and the number 2 we got from Houston that was the Clippers' original pick. Whether this occurs or not is only left to the future but I think DJ on this board smelled something was up with the Lakers stockpiling all of those forwards. May be DJ will be right.

It's funny the stuff some dudes come up with. That deal is awful for Minny. I'm not sure you could get Flip to agree to that after 6 bourbons and 12 beers. Fox should go back to polishing his teeth.

EDIT: That's not even possible. Both teams are over the cap. The salaries don't match.

Kevin Love will do what makes him the most money in the long run.

According to NBA trade machine, the trade works.

Even it does work Louie, it would be a horrible trade for the Lakers.

Wesley Johnson officially signed today as the 12th player. 1-year deal for just under a mill per. Clarkson will be the thirteenth and I still think Mitch should pick up the phone and bring in Greg Oden for a look see. Miami is waffling about bringing him back and he wants to play. We can't lose.

Heck, if they're gonna take a flyer on 7 footer with knee issues, better Oden than the Bynum rumor someone was floating out there. At least with Oden they don't have to worry about his attitude.

A couple other things about Oden is he doesn't spend the majority of his salary on weed, he is 26 years old and will be in his second actual NBA season, and his body thus doesn't that there is little or no comparison here worth getting one's jimmies in a bind over.

Spending his salary on weed is about the only thing I like about Bynum.
